I debated whether to purchase this unit since loudness and R/L balance controls are not controlled manually. I am happy with my purchase as the remote permits control of those functions with no fuss. Bonus: the settings are remembered. Best Buy made purchase online easy.

This is one of the best 2-Ch receiver you can get for the money. Simple & easy to use with extra features. I have it connected with my turn table & also paired with my phone via Bluetooth. This thing is awesome. I use my Marantz for movies and this Yamaha for all my music. Give it a try !

bought this unit to replace an older onkyo reciever. this unit has 100 watts per channel and is very loud but the sound lacks richness and depth

The unit just shuts off after a period of time. The unit was a refurbished one that was supposedly returned simply because the buyer didn't want it with no other reason given. I realize it is a lower end unit but I wish it had an LED in the on/off button or near it so it would be easy to find in the dark.

Blue tooth works great. We connect without much trouble.

Easy to install (my husband did it, i did not!). Music now blares through the house!

We love having good music in our home. Our old receiver was worn out but the other components were fine, so we only needed to replace the one piece. It works very well with our whole set up even though they are parts from different manufacturer. We;ow have wonderful music again.

Very happy with this Yamaha receiver. I have owned Yamaha receivers in the past and have always been pleased with their performance. I need a receiver for the garage and when I saw that they made one in this price range I new I had to get it.

Perfect for my purposes, Sufficient inputs and outputs with the right kinds of connections, to include a good coaxial FM antenna connection. The Yamaha ties in perfectly with my fairly complex audio-visual system.

Good sound. Handles 2 sets of stereo speakers good. It has a sleep timer that comes on when you turn the receiver on and you can't shut the timer off. It turns the receiver off after 8 hours. No way to get around it. There is no HDMI connection so the menu on the control is meaningless.is meaningless. There is no mention at all of the sleep timer in the advertising. The description in the manual is very vague. I am returning it and getting a Sony. I hope that works.

Perfect Bluetooth stereo for my garage. A & B speaker setting works great to power garage and / or backyard patio speakers.

Bought it for the FM receiver because I am in a remote area and other that I tried had no reception and this one did bring in my stations. I was also able to hook up my cd player. Would recommend.

A great receiver at a friendly price . It even has a snooze timer which is great to set when trying to get some sleep .

This is good enough for me, better than the cheap speakers I’m replacing these with but certainly not high quality surround sound. I’m using them in my shop mounted midway to to the ceiling. They sound nice.

I bought the receiver on sale to use in a small office. My primary use is to operate an old turntable. I found out reading other reviews that a turntable pre-amp is a necessary purchase for this receiver. I'm pleased with the performance, especially for the low price.

I returned this after hooking up 3 different sets of speakers and experiencing the right channel cutting out. Purchased with speaker wire that is complete garbage. Turns out that a speaker WAS faulty twice and that the wire needed to be replaced.
