Good, but could be better. Very easy to use and plug and play, but I wish the zone output could be more configurable and not part of only two settings, but that could just be me wanting it to be more tweakable

My previous Yamaha RX-V385 did excellent work for years, but its 70w/channel just wasn't suited for my new 100w speakers (yes, they work, but it degrades audio quality). The RX-V6A checked all the boxes and then some, it has features I will probably never use, such as the Front Presence or Rear Surround speaker options. Setup was quick & easy, with everything on the back panel clearly labelled. I appreciate being able to use banana plugs for the speaker connections. Audio quality with the 100w Klipsch speakers improved noticeably with more clarity, depth & definition than with the RX-V385. However, some features are difficult to access w/o sufficient explanation in the manual and I wish the front panel could display both decoder status & speaker status simultaneously (like on the RX-V385). However, that's minor and this AVR delivers where it matters most. I haven't owned it very long yet, but so far it's a worthy successor to the RX-V385.

Great little unit ... perfect for my pre-wired large family room ... setup programming was a little frustrating but the results are great ...

Upgraded from my last Yamaha receiver.. Love the new features on this new one. Great sound as always.

So far the unit seems to be inconsistent at best. I've spent hours learning how to get into the advanced settings. This unit does not properly power my rear speakers, in many cases it's low power to all the speakers; sometimes it chucks and spits flames I'm so very confused how the unit can be pumping volume too the speakers one show; then I go to play a song and it sounds as though it's got spotty connection with bad wires. I know I set the unit up correctly; the plugin to center the speakers on your optimal room space also fails to perform it's whole cycle past the beeping 3d immersion on this device does not work. My speakers are extremely nice and I'm very disappointed with the surround sound quality and power delivery. It's very unbalanced after I've tuned and adjusted and reset back to stock. No help from best buy without paying for geek squad.! It's a pain I will be returning and purchasing a different reciever from micro-center. The bummer is that my father always had older Yamahas that clearly always outperformed this one; also the setting adjustments actually made clear differences in power delivery & sound performance. I'm not sure what went wrong?!

Excellent product , easy to use. LCD screen in front is very intuitive. Great for surround sound home theaters allows additional speakers and subwoofers if necessary.

Amazing sound. I decided to upgrade from my 4K Onkyo receiver. I didn’t except such a huge difference right out of the box. The sound is clearer and more dynamic.

Nice unit know problems with the unit. I wish nowadays units came with written instructions other than I have to go on the Internet.

This is the best receiver ever upgrading from a Yamaha 5.1

I was looking for a receiver with Bluetooth technology that allowed me versatility. Yama delivers, with this receiver. It allows md to tune into my subscription application with a press of my remote!

It was great in beginning nice sound, after two years will not take up date just lock looking for update useless, very sorry Purchase this Unit will not ever buy anything from yamaha again!

Love this unit. Works great with my nvidia shield. Dolby Atmos sounds great. Love that I can use the app to control the settings.

Awesome sound. My Onkyo died few weeks prior getting this one so I decided to get a new receiver with Atmos, My movies never sound it as this good before. I’m very happy with my purchase!
