Love the Receiver, have always enjoyed the Yamaha brand. This is my 3rd receiver

Works great, great sound from the back of the room to the front.

Excellent reciever with lots of power to power all of your speakers and plenty of other nice features as well. I love the auto calibration feature.

I purchased the RX-V6A a few weeks ago to upgrade my system and replace my old Yamaha RX-V620. I want it to work the same way as before: with five speakers in Zone 1 (the main room) and two speakers in Zone 2 that I can turn on when I turn off Zone 1. I paid for the service to hook the receiver up. The Best Buy sent me two different technicians to set up the receiver. Neither of them could do it. Contrary to Best Buy's information, the last technicians told me the receiver was not made for that. I am not sure what to do. Please, help.

Works perfectly, all components worked on first try and sounds amazing

I replaced a Yamah receiver that was about 8 years old with this unit. The receiver is incredible and handles our 7.2 system with ease. Still learning all the capabilities but so far, the difference in performance is significant.

Receiver has great functionality and performance. Set up/Operation is a bit complex (seems to be the case for all new audio-visual equipment). Primary purpose for the purchase was to upgrade my current receiver to pass through 4K content, and this is working without an issue.

This receiver makes my room become alive. The surround sound going through it is off the chart. Highly recommended!

Paired with Klipsch Reference Cinema System 5.1.4 with Dolby Atmos. Sound is outstanding!

We had the same issue as other reviewers with failure soon after putting it into service for HDMI. That said, for our surround sound in 2 zones this worked great. 2 weeks after getting a new Samsung 4K QLED to match up with this new receiver, HDMI out suddenly stops working. Audio functionality is great, but will pass no video at all. Tested HDMI cables and TV, which eliminated issues with source, cable or TV... tried hard reset of AVR, network updates, nothing worked. Guessing that it has a bad HDMI board. My other complaint is that MusicCast pairing was unstable, dropped connections three times in so many weeks requiring re-connecting—which wasn’t consistent and required many tries. This is very difficult compared to our other Yamaha receiver which paired well on the first try and hasn’t been an issue since. Too bad, new stuff from Yamaha is just not ready for the market. First time BestBuy has sold me a lemon. It was otherwise good while it lasted.

Love the raw, clean power and some of the DSP I've figured out but for someone who is more of a listener than a techi, this thing is impossibly complex.

Best home theater for the price clear sound and Power

I did my research and decided on this receiver because it has all the input hookups I need. Out of coincidence, I talked to my nephew and he has the exact receiver and he loves it. It has a lot of features for the money. I’m replacing an Onkyo receiver,which is over 20 years old. My old receiver didn’t have hdmi inputs or outputs and has been acting up. Sorry I can’t tell you how it sounds yet because I’m rearranging living room and audio and video.

Great quality and feature content for a mid price range home theater receiver. I've owned 4 Yamaha receivers - each excellent (and I still have them).
