Good receiver buy volume is not so great.I put it on -32 for good sound which is half way up.

Receiver stopped working after a month of owning it. No power at all, not even the red standby light. Only used it a handful of times as I was still in the process of building my home theater. Took it back to Best Buy and they said the product is not within Best Buy’s warranty date. Unbelievable. Now have to wait for Yamaha Service Center to have a look at it as they are apparently 6 weeks on back order. Not the greatest start into home theater unfortunately, won’t be buying Yamaha again…

Works when Google home is misleading. Sure, I can apparently control with my voice(why though?), but it does not behave as a Google home device, and I cannot sync with my Google home speakers throughout the house. Musicast is some proprietary garbage. Will be returning

Need the return policy and warranty explained brtter

The MusicCast never connects. It always complains about “Setup failed. Please restart setup. (-10305)” I have tried all possible options that I could find online. Nothing worked. Now I have this device that I paid a very hefty amount that does not work thru music cast, zoning etc..

Very disappointed. I loved the asthetic of the receiver. Was excited that it was 8k ready. Unfortunately I felt like it wasn't pushing my speakers like it should and the overall sound quality was bright. I returned it and went with a Denon.

Fantastic sound but horrible functionality. Terrible HDMI switching across all 7 HDMI inputs. Loss of image is pretty constant. Multiple power cycles just to go from a cable box to a stream box and then a game console? This is a problem that YAMAHA needs to address or this is getting returned ASAP.

This is suppose to be able to play music. I have yet to be able to use it and Best Buy only has returns up to 20 days. It takes time to get this set up when all the items did not come in with the reciever. I will never buy from best buy again.

Had problems trying to connect speaker wires in back of receiver because of lack of space between terminals. Also the receiver caused my tv to act weird and the tv would switch off by itself.

The bass on this receiver is great, but that's all I can say positive about it. Full of glitches and issues for me and was returned.

It's not a good receiver. It's stopped working 3 weeks after I had it and went into productive mode. And I can't return it so don't buy It's not worth $700.

Receiver for surrond sound system time will tell how it does most all will overheat when in use

Poor machine have had geek squad back twice already and still not working properly. Dont buy it I’ll be returning the one I have

Did not like it stick with Sony did not like the sound effects had little bass and I like bass in my music

Bought this item open box, it clearly states that there were no missing items. Brought item home and it did not have the calibration mic. Called help line and was put on hold for 40 minutes, they said I could only resolve issue the issue in store. I went to the store, and they said only online could resolve the issue because they could not order anymore of this item.

Great improvement to our picture quality running the projector through this receiver.

A pain to connect. The total tech team spent over 2 hours trying to connect this system. Couldn’t download an update. I do not recommend this product. It seems to be a known flow with this piece of equipment.

This didn't work out of the box, set up was easy but had "hand shake" issues from the second I turned it on. Couldn't connect to cable, but could see TV, had sound but no picture. Returned within 15 days...

Just keeps shutting down randomly. Sound doesn’t work when you turn it on, must be resettled often
