A classic Mel Brooks movie, with an amazing cast, great improv, and the type of wacky yet subtle yet over-the-top comedy only MB can bring! Only for those who appreciate his unique humor! Quality blue ray disc with no freezing or skipping, be aware it plays in B&W (to mimic the original Frankenstein movies it parodies) even though the case art is in color. Worked great in my Xbox too!

HORSE WHINNY, Some of the subtle stuff is the best once you get past the hilarious broad humor. I love Mel Brooks films and this one, thanks to my wife who also loves this one, is number two on my list of his films. NUMBER ONE BLAZING SADDLES. Mel Found the original Frankenstein set to shoot this, and that kind of detail makes this film so funny. Why? Because it's so believable. The sound and the Black and White and on and on. I hurt from laughing.

The movie was a wonderfully funny film. Gene Wilder at his best. A must own!

Should you upgrade to the Blu-ray verison? Compared to the 1998 DVD, this Blu-ray edition has a much more detailed picture and improved contrast, along with an unfortunate high level of picture grain. The previous DVD was in a16x9 Letterboxed picture format which did not fill the viewing screen. Curiously, the Blu-ray picture is cropped compared to the DVD, so a noticeable portion of the picture is missing around the edges. Perhaps the next edition will improve upon the short comings of this current Blu-ray. But, for now, at least the price is affordable! Positively Recommended!

I bought this so that I'd have this great comedy available whenever I wanted to watch it and not rely on a streaming service or my internet connection. The movie is in black and white as it was intended and released. The images on the back of the cover are in color, which is very odd. A marketing gaffe is my only assumption. One of, if not, the best movie Mel Brooks ever made.

I saw this movie at the Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood 42 years ago with my sister I was just a kid and I can still remember her laughing so hard We snuck down in our seats and stayed in the theater and watched it a second time LOL Good Times ... very funny!!!

Young Frankenstein is one of the most enjoyable comedies of its generation and even by today's standards. From subtle to laugh out loud moments of hilarity, Young Frankenstein will be one of movie you won't regret seeing.

We looked and looked for this movie online and finally found it available through Best Buy. Very easy to navigate web site and place the order. Movie arrived sooner than advised. Very happy customer!!

Another Mel Brooks hit! Gene Wilder is great ad Dr. Frankenstein. Peter Boyle makes a great monster. Love the scene with Gene Hackman and Peter Boyle. Very entertaining movie.

I bought this Blue Ray to replace my DVD which replaced my VHS and so on. I have loved this film for years. Its special to watch a movie in blank and white too

This is a great classic movie, It realy put Mel Brooks on the map. It is verry goofy comedy but not stupid comedy. looks great on Blu-ray.

The picture and sound is awesome! Last time I seen this movie was in the 80’s on an old Zenith tv. It’s like seeing the it brand new!

This classic is a MUST-HAVE for any movie collection. Cloris Leachman’s portrayal of Frau Bleucher is my personal favorite.

Gene Wilder is absolutely hilarious in this movie. If you're a fan of any of Mel Brooks' movies, you have to watch this one.
