The screen protector is really thick you lost looks a little funny sitting on top of the phone. Also it only sticks around the edges bus there is air between the screen and the screen protector so the sensitivity near the sides and Screen is not the best and you really have to push hard. Not very impressed with this recommendation from the sales person. I really think they were just pushing the most expensive one.

Within the week it slid around on the face of my screen, and by week two, it cracked and popped off. Completely useless!

Ruins the touchscreen

Just like the other reviews state, the protector ONLY adheres around the edge of the screen and poorly and quite visibly at that. Since that is the only adhesion point, the main chunk of the protection screen "floats" above the phone's screen. This in effect ruins the wonderful and very responsive touchscreen of the phone. I kept this on my phone long enough to get home from the store and spend about 10 minutes stabbing at my phone with my fingers instead of gently swiping. It was then promptly pulled off and I will be returning it tomorrow. I have always gotten Zagg's glass screen protectors for my phones, but this was just so disappointing.

I purchased this S8 protector based upon an excellent experience with my older S6 and Zagg. I self-installed it with no difficulties. The only issue following installation was that the touch screen became less sensitive with the protector in place. For example, in txting I typically had to use much more force on each key.
The biggest problem was that a week after putting it into use I dropped the phone and the protector popped off. I tried to carefully clean and replace it, taking care not to touch the adhesive along the edges. But it was to no avail; the protector has popped off a second time from just bouncing the phone in a car console.
That said, Zagg has an excellent warranty which they stand behind. I could (and still might) take advantage of it. However, the problem of heavy typing force gives me pause that even a replacement would work to my satisfaction.

Protector keeps popping off if you drop phone

First the good. It is well made and thick. Provides good protection, is nice and clear and was easy to install.
The not so good. Adhesive is only around edges. Not strong enough to hold if you drop your phone, even a short distance. For me this design also resulted in poor touch sensitivity, especially towards top of screen. Screen popped off three times and got some specks on inside which cannot clean off effectively without touching the edge adhesive. I've removed it and have ordered a different protector to try out.

I am a HUGE Zagg fan. I have used them for years and they have saved many of my devices from damage. The combination of Zagg shields and Otterboxes have been fantastic for me. This is the first time I have purchased one where I haven't been 100% satisfied.
First the good - the installation process for this version is much better than in previous Zagg glass purchases (Had it for my S5). The installation tray makes it super easy to install the shield perfectly aligned. Once on, you can definitely tell that there is a screen protector on, although visually it doesn't impact the screen.
The bad is that it totally screws up the touch sensitivity. You must press much harder on the screen and frequently you will miss keys when typing or swyping. Pulling down the status bar from the top is almost virtually impossible the first time and typically will take me several tries and sometimes must use two hands in order to pull down the status bar to turn WiFi on or off, change to vibrate mode, etc.
Lastly, the Shield cracked VERY easily. Within a week. Now it is possible that this saved my phone from damage, but I really haven't dropped the phone that hard so to me, was a bit premature.
They will replace for free, but even the cost of that has gone up. Used to be when I purchased my first Zagg shield that replacements were free, no shipping and handling. Then it was a small S&H (like $2 or $3). Now it is a $10 S&H fee to replace the shields. A bit excessive...
All in all, wish I had saved my money and purchased the regular Zagg shield HD and not paid extra for the glass version. Just not up to snuff for Zagg.

Affected screen touch sensitivity

So far I'm not happy with this screen protector. I had the same one on my last phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) and it worked great. But with the curved screen I have to press much harder on the screen, particularly near the edges, and often the touch does not register. When I went back to Best Buy to complain, the cellphone sales manager said that it might be the way it was applied (they put it on for me) and suggested I get a replacement to try again. Although I plan to try that, I haven't done so yet...maybe that will help?
Besides that, only a couple of weeks after getting the phone, the protector shifted while I was on a road trip. When I tried to put it back into place I obviously flexed it too much and it cracked pretty badly along the edge - guess now I HAVE to get a replacement. Hopefully it will help! Otherwise I'll just eat the cost and take my chances without it. The phone really doesn't function well the way it is.

Typically I love Zagg products. I have had then on every phone and iPod/iPad i have owned in the past 8 years. But this product fell short in my opinion.
I had read reviews before purchasing that the screen protector altered the touch sensitivity and that it was difficult to apply correctly. I did not experience either of these issues.
My issue however was that it detracts from the "infinity screen." This phone is really good looking, but you lose alot of those Iooks by adding this protector.
This screen protector also seems pretty fragile. I cracked the protector twice within a week by hitting the edge of the phone on something, but I do not feel that I have hit the phone very hard. Now yes, I am glad the protector cracked instead of my screen, but I don't feel I hit the phone very hard.
The bigger issue to me was the infinity edge interference. If you want a screen protector from a company that stands by its products, go with Zagg. I am just not convinced that this is the best screen protecting option for the Galaxy S8.

I had the Zagg shield on my phone less than 2 days, & my phone fell out of my pocket when I leaned down to put something away in a low to ground cabinet. The Zagg shield cracked all over. I contacted Zagg for replacement which was $10 to pay for shipping, so it really is not a free replacement with Zagg. I find it hard to believe that the shipping was $10.

Curved glass hard to fit

I love Zagg products but this one did not work out. The curved screen is hard to get a good fit with a screen protector and I'm guessing that none will work very well. The adhesive is only around the edges and there were some areas where there was enough space between the screen protector and phone that it reduced the touch sensitivity. Eventually I took it off and am going "commando".

I plan on returning this item as when I opened the box and looked at it, It looked a bit skinny. I placed it on the phone to measure how much of the screen would be covered and was disappointed considering how much these glass screens cost. It did not cover all of the curved edges of the phone, so I slid it back into the box disappointed that it will not protect as well against drops as I hoped. I am glad that I placed it on the phone dry prior to beginning installation.

Some warnings:
After installing I now have to try multiple times to bring the top bar down. The glass protector in my opinion doesn't cover the edges adequately and causes interference when swiping down.
Also two days after a best buy mobile employee installed it, I dropped my phone and the screen protector popped off easily. The reps say the adhesive it comes with is weaker than the non-curved, but that sounds like bs. They replaced it, but the replacement was scratched, and the geek squad member that installed it said it came that way. Im not sure if he did it or it came that way but he tried to pass it off to me like I wouldnt notice, its not possible to put the screen protector on and not notice significant scratches. So double check the condition of the screen before purchasing.

Nice and easy to install especially with the aligning tool it comes with. Nice glossy and clean appearance. HOWEVER, it decreased the touch sensitivity on the screen. Had to press hard to get some buttons to work. It was getting annoying that it was hard to swipe down to get the tools menu to appear.
Replaced this with a much cheaper protector.

I really hate to have to give this review, but please do not waste your money on this. I am out $49.99 and the $8 for Best Buy to install it.
When installed, you cannot swipe down to get to the notifications screen. Also, the pressure that you have to apply is way too much. I have had my phone for 9 days and pulled it off this morning. I am so frustrated with this screen protector. It also interferes with the edge of the screen sensitivity. The glue can be seen at the top of the phone too. The biggest issue that I have is the I have to press down with great force and then other spots on the phone, that is too much pressure. I am very disappointed and going to go back to Best Buy and plead my case for something different.

I purchased this screen protector for my 10 year old son's new samsung galaxy S8. I was not overly impressed with the look of the screen protector compared to the S5 we had previously. The screen protector had a bubble underneath that was supposed to disappear, but it never completely went away. The screen protector cracked after three days without being dropped. It did protect the phone, but I have a feeling it will need replaced many more times than the previous versions. Overall, I would rather have this screen protector than have nothing at all, especially for my young son.

I love glass protector devices, but on the Galaxy S8 there is no way to increase the screen sensitivity. As a result, the glass has a tendency to make the screen far less responsive. To the point where you have to tap hard on it to type. If the phone had a more sensitive screen this may not be an issue.

I bought this screen protector as it seemed to be the only glass shield best buy carried for the S8 at launch. I bought it on a Friday and returned it on Monday. During the 3 days it was on my phone...it was frustrating texting and doing most things that required touching the middle of the screen. This protector only adheres to the edges of the phone...leaving a small gap of air in the center. The last straw came on Sunday when I noticed a crack in the shield without me even dropping the phone. Waste of time for $50...got my money back on Monday.

The screen protector was easy to apply but unfortunately it cracked so I went out and bought another one and they're not cheap either I think it was like $24 so hopefully this one lasts longer but yeah the first one they cracked on me and I was actually really disappointed anyways I tried to ask Best Buy to give me one in exchange for the broken one they said you only have 15 days under the warranty so I was kind of bummed out about that and so therefore that's why I bought my OtterBox and I was bummed out because if I'm going to spend $24 and it cracked and it not even last two months and then I take it back and they say that the warranty is only for 15 days that really start everybody else has the warranty that's at least 30 to 90 days 15 days I don't think is adequate
