Awesome TV, get the biggest one!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome tv, we loved this tv and the price so much we actually returned it and got a bigger one for just a slight difference in price. The 65". Samsung really got it with the new tech in these tvs.

A solid mid range contender
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking at bargain sets for my bedroom when the Q60 caught my eye. At the time it was on sale , so ponying up just a bit more got me into the QLED game. Right out of the box I was impressed, and I could tell that it was worth the extra money. Colors on this TV are extremely impressive and really Pop in HDR. Most HDR content looks great on this TV, but it does struggle sometimes with dark HDR scenes. I can’t help but feel like the TV was setup to fail with no support for Dolby Vision . The two movies that were nearly unwatchable were Dolby Vision titles.Amazon titles in HDR 10+ look amazing though. As I understand it Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ are competing to be the industry standard. Samsung is team HDR 10+, and I’m assuming LG and Sony are team Dolby Vision because they support it ,but not HDR 10+. From the looks of things Dolby Vision seems to have the edge with almost every streaming service using it for HDR. Amazon however uses HDR 10+ so If they are your primary platform it’s worth noting . Overall it’s still a very impressive TV , and most content looks awesome, but I wish it got a bit brighter in HDR . Also the lack of support for Dolby Vision is starting to become a problem for Samsung.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q60A TV, featuring HDR10+ for stunning colors and exceptional, revealing details in the brightest and darkest scenes.
HDR10+ format is an exciting scene-based dynamic tone-mapping technology. It automatically matches the dynamic range of the content to the TV on a scene-by-scene basis to maximize the capabilities of the TV, providing the best possible picture.
Your TV will automatically detect video with HDR10+ and apply this setting. To check, press Home > Settings. Look at the Picture Mode icon in the Quick Settings Menu and it will change to show the “HDR” on it. If you’re watching a streaming app, give it some time for the Internet to stabilize for UHD & HDR signals.
If you are using a UHD Blu-ray player that does not support HDR10+, the feature will play in standard HDR10. An HDR10+ capable Blu-ray player and UHD capable HDMI cables are also required. To find a supported Blu-ray player, look for the HDR10+ logo on the UHD Blu-ray player.

Samsung - 50" Class Q60A Series QLED 4K UHD Smart
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were looking for a smart TV to replace a 40" Samsung that had developed some darker patches on the screen. This 50" unit was just the right size for our TV stand. Good picture image, good sound (even better with a sound bar). We are always satisfied with the service we get at our Best Buy in Wooster, OH.

Short Lifespan
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great television with a short lifespan. We have many Samsung products but this TV (purchased 12/2022) went out in month 13 of the 12 month guarantee for replacement and labor. My wife got it to work but it had black lines throughout the screen. Today the screen "melted" and is dead. Not worth paying $650.

Great option when space is limited
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to replace my 2006 Sony 40" TV with a Smart TV that would fit in the same area of my relatively small 1939 living room. This Samsung 50" was the perfect solution. Actually 1" shorter in width, so I got a high quality picture with all the Smart goodies that looks and fits great. Not all of us have room for a 65" TV. This Samsung Smart TV makes it easy now to stream the shows I could never do with my "Dumb" TV. My friends at TotalTech got the setup up and running and working together with my other components. All this for less than $700 delivered. Very happy!

Great picture! Sound issues with Apple 4K box
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful picture and tons of built in apps. I would give it 5 stars but it doesn’t work well with Apple TV 4K streamer. I had to play with the settings. It will not work with DOLBY ATMOS (default setting) on the Apple streamer. I’ve yet to try a sound bar. The sound could be richer. It’s a little on the tinny side. The picture quality is fantastic. Samsung is the way to go when it comes to the colors.

I am very sorry you are experiencing trouble connecting your Q60A TV to your Apple TV device. Please be sure you are using a high-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet Channel sometimes called HDMI HEC cable. Also be sure to enable HDMI-eARC in the Expert Settings menu. Lastly, please also verify that you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
For further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week.

QLED 4K 50 inch….most bang for the buck!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’d say it’s the most bang for the buck when it comes to a 4K TV. I got the 50” to mount above my fireplace coming from a 43” 1080p TV, this was a YUUUUUUUGE improvement. It’s super thin, super lightweight, and those blacks are….black! I especially love how it upgrades the 1080p signal. 95% of the time, that’s what you’re watching, assuming you’re watching the average cable TV signal. It looks very sharp. The colors and tones are amazing. I didn’t use the sound, as I am using a JBL sound-bar and subwoofer for audio. So I can’t comment on that. But everything else on this QLED 50” 4K TV is outstanding. Including that rechargeable / solar remote! Definitely a great deal @ the Black Friday price…

Q: QuestionIs there any difference in the TV feature's or in the picture's going from a 43" to a 50" Does this work wirelessly or do I need to hook up a internet cable from my combo router/modem to the back of the TV
Asked by Skip.
- A:Answer Hi Skip - The only difference between the 43" and 50" Q60A TVs are the size; both sizes share the same specs and features. The Q60A is a Wi-Fi enabled TV and also features a LAN port for a wired connectivity option. ^Gina

Q: QuestionCan this tv be hung on a wall? I don't see anything to screw into.
Asked by Tlong.
- A:Answer Virtually all modern flat screen tvs (including this one) have a 4-screw hole pattern on the back of the tv which can attach the tv to a mounting bracket. In my case I wanted the tv mounted as close to the wall as possible and I used a Peerless SUF650P mounting bracket which left only about 7mm between the back of the tv and the wall.
Answered by Larry
Q: QuestionHi, the TV has a speakers connect. If I connect some computer speakers, the sound will come out from the speakers + the TV like the Panasonic TVs or just the speakers ? Thanks for your answer.
Asked by TW.
- A:Answer Hi TW - When you connect an external device to stream audio, the audio will only be produced from the single source you've selected. ^Gina
