65 Inch Samsung

My son actually picked this one out based on how much he likes his 50 inch Samsung. I love it. Picture is crisp and with the sound and lights I purchased, we can’t stop watching.

OMG Mind-blowing!
||Posted .This tv blew me away from the first moment I turned it on. The screen is super sharp, colors are vivid, blacks are black. I first tried blade runner 2049. First thing I noticed was how dark dark portions of the scenes are. If the character is in partial light, but partially hidden in darkness or it's a night scene: there is no bleeding light. The screen is completely black. Yet the light areas are very detailed and well lit. I guess this is what everyone was talking about with "direct lighting". Another thing I immediately noticed was the tv's built-in speakers. They really pack a punch & I swear the sound sounds as if it's all around the room. These tv speakers are the best I've ever heard. In fact: I have a traditional 7.1 surround sound reciever hooked up to this tv, but I hadn't set it up yet. My roommate was watching a movie and I told her "That is the new tv's speakers". She said she thought it was my surround sound. Setup via my samsung phone took seconds. Everything set itself up. Even the solar remote paired itself to my Roku & Xbox by itself. Last but not least: I loaded up Arkham Knight on my xbox x. Wow! The response time and speed of this tv blew me away. I can't believe it. Games feel like new to me. I am LOVING this tv!

Solved our problem with dark scenes during the day
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Our previous TV was great...at night! But during the day with windows on 3 sides and a skylight it was almost impossible to see dark scenes even with the brightness turned up. After reading up about QLED it seemed like this would take care of the issue and it absolutely did. Blacks are very dark while the bright colors really pop, giving a good contrast. Overall the sharpness is incredible compared to the "old" TV, which itself was an early 4K backlit LED. I wasn't expecting such a drastic difference, but the QLED technology delivers the goods. My only complaint, if it could be called that, is that the sharpness and fast response time makes scenes look fake sometimes. It's great for sports, racing, gaming, etc. But in normal movies and TV it lends a "soap opera" type of visual effect. I paired this with a Samsung 2.1 soundbar, and it is amazing as well. Nice clarity on voices, good low range from the subwoofer and it gets LOUD. I rarely turn it up past halfway and even that rattles the pictures on the wall! I wouldn't say the sound quality is on par with Bose or other high-end dedicated receivers but it's very close and sounds great. And the best thing is that it was plug and play with a HDMI cable connected from the TV using the eARC port. The remote from the TV controls both the TV and the soundbar, so all I need now is just the one remote.

For optimal motion image performance, you may want to adjust the picture clarity setting by going to: Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings
- Off: Picture Clarity Settings will always be off
- Auto: Picture Clarity Settings will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched
- Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used. By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings for Judder Reduction, LED Clear Motion, and Noise Reduction.

The Home Screen is very different and the remote charges differently but it was a quick adjustment. I love that it knows what channel I tune into in the mornings and does it automatically.

||Posted .I had just bought the new lg tv that was on sale. Had to return the lg because the light in the background was on the edges. So I got Samsung, I am happy with my purchase with this tv. The quality is much better. Back lit lighting is much better, or OLED.
