Amazing TV with Stunning Picture and Great Feature
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been fantastic! The picture quality is incredible, with really deep blacks and bright, vivid colors. Watching movies and shows feels like being in a theater. The 4K resolution makes everything look super sharp, and the HDR support add even more detail and color. It's great for watching sports and playing video games too. The design of the TV is realy sleek and modern. It looks great in my living room and doesn’t take up too much space. The thin bezels around the screen make it look even bigger. The sound quality is so good for a flat-screen TV. The built-in speakers are clear and loud enough for regular use, and it also work well with my external speakers for an even better sound experience.

Great TV, Some Issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Summary: So, it was between this and the LG C2. I’m coming from a 55” LG C9 - which has now been relocated to my bedroom. I wanted a larger TV but wanted to stay within the LG family because I’ve been thoroughly impressed with my c9 for the past few years. However, QD-OLED was too good to pass up. Couple that with the phenomenal pricing and I was immediately drawn in. The TV is great for the price. Any research you do on this TV will be extremely biased as the new tech gets everyone excited. I think a majority of reviewers overlooked or ignored a lot of the cons and were swept up in the hype. Pros: Picture Quality: If you’re buying an OLED, especially the next generation of OLED (marketed as QD-OLED by Samsung) then you already know or have a good idea of how amazing the picture quality is. The colors are extremely vibrant, sometimes a bit unnatural but with proper calibration, most people won’t notice. I’m a huge gamer with any console you can think of and gaming is a huge leap forward on a QD-OLED, especially because of the brightness. HDMI 2.1: The TV supports HDMI 2.1, which is phenomenal for making both the series X and ps5 120hz. (See: “VRR Broken” in Cons. For those who have one over the other, it’s worth noting that at the time of writing, VRR works perfectly for Xbox, while it struggles on PS5. I’m sure Samsung is planning to release a patch soon to mitigate the issue). All four HDMI ports have 2.1 support, so it’s much more convenient for those with many external devices. Gaming Quality: Samsung certainly hasn’t lost its reputation with gaming with the S95b, wow. Whether you’re gaming on switch, ps5, or Xbox, it all comes packaged with phenomenal picture quality, eye-popping colors, and fluid 120hz (for select games). Cons: Brightness: You would think this would be on the pros list, but allow me to explain. Version 1310 was the best update of the TV. However, as of version 1420, Samsung ended up significantly reducing the brightness of the TV in HDR (I believe it was first done in version 1303). SDR wasn’t touched in terms of brightness. Some may argue that it doesn’t make a difference, but it does, especially with streaming content. HDR10+ : There is no Dolby vision on this TV. At all. This was one that was a huge deal for me, and still kind of is. There is a slight (maybe 10%) difference in viewing content with HDR10+ and Dolby vision. If you’re looking for it, it’s there. If you’re not, you probably won’t notice it. If you’re coming from an LG or Sony, this will probably be a deal breaker for you. Once the set is calibrated though (not professionally, just pull up a YouTube video), it’ll be hard to spot the differences. Tizen OS & Menu Navigation: This was god-awful. It took me 2 weeks, but I finally got used to it and became OK with the Tizen OS on Samsung. As you’ll read in other reviews, it’s choppy and laggy at times. The same remains true for me, but it’s something you’ll get over, especially after owning an Apple TV or streaming video from a console (I don’t do it because I hate viewing streaming content in game mode). It takes way too long to switch inputs manually (Home > Menu > Connected Devices > Select input) as opposed to the LG remote I'm used to (input button > select input). The lag doesn’t help either. My recommendation is to set all devices to have the ability to switch input once you wake them up or activate the remote. It’s way more convenient. Settings: I had an issue recently while gaming (on ps5 specifically) where the TV would just turn off. I think when the intelligent mode is on, it causes this but I’m unsure as to the time of writing. All I know is that upon changing a few settings (still in the process of identifying), this happened in the middle of games on ps5 at least 4 times consecutively before I disabled the settings. I haven't had a problem since. Recent Updates: As previously stated, the recent updates have completely degraded this tv's capabilities, from the broken VRR to the decrease in overall HDR brightness. Look on forums, Reddit, etc - this is a universal opinion. The good news is that Samsung may release a firmware update to take care of all of these issues in the spring. VRR (at least for me) is broken on ps5 as I only get 60fps in all games. On Xbox, I get 120. You can view in the screenshots. Overall, as someone that's coming from an LG, I can recommend this set for most people. If Dolby Vision is a dealbreaker for you, don't bother. Also, for those coming from LG, the LG C3 was just announced as a 30% boost to brightness for the EVO panel in LGs. So it'll be very comparable and extremely hard for this TV to compete once that's released due to the cons on this list. TLDR: maybe, leaning yes. But, if you can wait, wait for The LG C3 (LG's 'QD-OLED'). Google it.

Most beautiful tv i have ever seen.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from QN90A(Neo QLED) i was pretty worried about the dimmer tv in my bright living roo,but boy was i wrong. Don't really know how it's possible but this TV matches or sometimes looks even brighter than my old Neo QLED. Im seeing colors ive never seen, more depth to the picture than even the best IMAX theatres, dazzling brightness and picture quality. This is also the best Gaming tv hands down. All 3 consoles working flawlessly with incredible 4K + 10bit HDR + VRR + 120hz together give the smoothest gaming experience ive ever seen. Hands down the most gorgeous tv my eyes have laid upon

This TV is fire!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is great. Salesman said it wouldn’t have as good if picture as my LG G1 OLED (LOL). It’s way better. To be fair, the WOLED does skin tones well but QDOLED colors pop. Sound is way better too. I read a lot about firmware and sound. This tv looks and sounds great. For $1700 this TV is an absolute bargain. We went from a high end Samsung QLED, have an LG G1, and this TV is quite a bit better in my estimation. If it dies in a month I’ll make sure to update this review. Sure a G3 would be better for 3K. Please note that an S95c will always show a chord because the one connect can’t be ran through a wall. Another reason to go with the S95b. S90c is same panel, less brightness for 1k more. Side note…. I do not like the G series mount and it’s all you can use with a G series. This is a great option if you’re on the fence.

Massive Upgrade - Great TV - Only One Complaint
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would have given 4.5 stars if it were an option but can't quite give it 5. This TV is a massive upgrade over my previous TCL. The colors, contrast, and clarity are all incredible. I had some concerns about the brightness since this is an OLED. While I do typically have the brightness maxed out, it has been plenty bright even with a lot of natural light in the room. The TV has plenty of inputs and will switch to Game Mode automatically if you set up a specific input as a gaming input. I like this feature, though I could see how some might not. The sound is quite good and better than any other TV I have owned. I have no plans to add a sound bar. My only real complaint, and the reason I did not give this TV 5 stars, is the operating system, which you will see in other reviews of this TV. It takes 10-15 seconds on start up for it to kind of wake up, and the menus are a little clunky. If this were a cheaper TV I wouldn't think much of it, but coming from a MUCH cheaper ROKU TV which is super simple and user friendly, Samsung's operating system just isn't as good and needs to be better on a TV of this price. Not a deal breaker but certainly a bit irritating.

Posted .AndrewM,
If your TV takes a while to turn on, apps take longer to start, or the menu takes longer to load, please try discharging or cold booting your TV, as this will help it start up normally again. You can cold boot your TV 2 ways:
1. With the Samsung TV remote:
- With the TV turned on, press and hold the power button on your remote.
- Continue holding the power button while the TV powers off and back on.
2. Without the Samsung TV remote:
- With the TV turned on, unplug the TV's power cord from the power outlet and wait 30 seconds.
- Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn the TV back on.
This will clear your memory cache, and your TV should start running normally again.
Please also check to see if your TV has any software updates available, which could help it run smoother as well. You can check this by going to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.
If your TV still takes a long time to turn on after performing these steps, please call Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link for:

Absolutely Breathtakingly Beautiful!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive been an Oled fan since they became available and this is the one I've been waiting for. Ive had my fair share of LG OLeds from the C6, C8, CX and also recently bought the Sony A90J (which was amazing but lacking in the gaming department) but luckily for me, Samsung released this QD Oled in my return window because this tv blows everything away. And its not even close! Hands down the best Oled on the market! The brightness ability while still keeping the perfect blacks is truly breathtaking. Its been tested to reach 1500 nits on a 10% window. Its something you just have to see and experience in person. It adds so much to the overall picture. The color volume is amazing. The screen is perfect with no banding, no dirty screen effect and great motion. What really sets the bar for me is in the gaming department. Ive never experienced such beauty in gaming. All I can can say is WOW! That brightness really is a difference maker for gaming. The specular highlight details pop off the screen. The tv has a great low input lag (same as the LG C2). And it also has a game optimizer menu (which is pretty cool). There is no Dolby Vision options which stinks but trust me when I say, you wont need it with this tv (maybe in a few years when games utilize it, I might change my mind there but for now, I could careless about it). The sound audio is pretty good for such a slim tv. It gets plenty loud. My only negative is that it only has 2 sizes (55 and 65). And maybe the Tizen Opperating system. I really liked the Sony Android/google OS and even maybe even LGs Web Os over it so far. Overall this tv should of been $1000-$2000 more being new technology. The prices they released at made every other tv expendable. Especially the new LG c2/g2 models. Huge price cuts cominf for those after this Samsung release. Im glad the bar has been raised in the Tv World. If you are in the hunt for the best tv on the market, look no further (especially if you are a gamer on top). My phone pics dont do it justice, its even better in person. Strongly recommend!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good, light use just for 2 weeks. Color, brightness and contrast are great. Was scary setting up as most of the screen is so thin. I like watching 4 movies in low or no ambient light. Play some games on PS5 so much more color and brightness than my Sony X91J 85” or my Samsung 82” 8 series. This is 65” review, I just sit closer as this is smaller than the others. I purchased the Geek Squash protection plan as there were a couple of bad reviews and this was the first year for the QOLED new technology. Hope it lasts for years.

Q: QuestionI don't see Dolby Vision listed anywhere. Will I be able to watch Dolby Vision on Netflix, Disney, etc?
Asked by JasonBB.
- A:Answer No. Samsung does not support Dolby Vision on their televisions and have no plans to support it on the 2022 lineup. If Dolby Vision support is a deal breaker and you are more interested in a QD-OLED then Sony is going to be your only option.
