Samsung - 7.4 Cu. Ft. 13-Cycle Steam Electric Dryer - Stainless Platinum

First of all I have to say that I was skeptical of this set since it was so new on the market (by a few mos) & there weren't any reviews to be found. Also I had so many people warn me against buying front loaders due to mildew/bacteria problems, which if you'd just read the user guide it will tell you to leave the door open to air dry after each use & occasionally take a bleach/water mixture & wipe the door seal/lip down. However, it was such a beautiful set made by a reputable company & was on SALE!!! I have to say I am so glad I purchased this set, It works like a gem! My husband has a pair of golf paints that he has been unable to get a few stains out of for some time & was shocked to see that this machine did the job! I also washed a large load of new expensive yet fuzzy bath towels (which usually shed pretty bad for a while) & they came out smelling GREAT & weren't shedding at all! The Power Foam cycle is really an awesome feature which not only cleans your clothes better, but gently removes stains as well! The steam cycle on both washer & dryer as well as the sanitize option are Great for me since I work in the medical field! The only problem we have had this far (aside from the actual cycle times taking longer than the estimated time) is that water was backing up into the detergent dispenser and would be full of water after a load was ran,but that was due to our home having very good water pressure & just required turning off the water valves & opening them back to half open. Obviously I would suggest doing this at the time of installation if your home has good water pressure because these babies are Heavy! Last but not least the dryer doesn't come with a rack so you have to purchase it separately, however you cant find it through best buy nor Samsung & even after calling them they seemed puzzled & didnt even know what the part number is! Hopefully I will have that problem solved prior to anyone else having to encounter it. Other than that we are over all very Happy with this purchase & love its platinum/stainless steal finish & multiple settings! 5 years of use and it still works perfectly, no repairs, no problems.

In performance and efficiency, I give this dryer the highest marks possible. It has effectively dried all sorts of clothing types and includes a rack for those clunky items like shoes and those items you don't want tossed around like thicker placemats. The only bad thing is that I used the measurements provided because my washer/dryer are in a closet in my hallway rather than a true utility room so I knew the fit would be tight, but doable. Unfortunately, the measurements provided did not take into consideration nor did they indicate that one needs to allow room for a rigid dryer vent in addition to the dryer. Mine is about 3/4" too big due to the vent so I have to undo my bi-fold doors when I use the dryer. I can't use my doors as they are supposed to be used. I think Samsung should include a diagram with measurements including the width of the rigid dryer vent since it must be used with this product. Otherwise, I am tickled pink with the performance of the product, its looks, and the efficiency. Love Samsung products!!!

Replaces 12 yr old dryer that died. This is a very nice machine. Lots of control options, but I found it does not include an auto sensor setting for low heat. I have used their settings for several loads, and they seem to work very well, without the problems I'd expect from higher heat. I have also used the timed dry cycle to get more control and it works well too. The wrinkle prevent feature is great; we have also used the steam feature for wrinkle removal and it is very effective. I had to force wrinkles to to that test; the machine does a good job of avoiding them. I wish it had a louder signal. We got the pedestal, which is nice but not necessary. Got a great deal from Best Buy on financing, and delivery was quick and well done. We got the W/D set, and they look great together.

Bought this on sale and it is great. Very quite and energy efficient. My kids love helping out with this new dryer and they love that it lays music when it is done. I don't have wrinkles anymore after not getting the clothes as soon as the cycle is done because it continues to touch up the items. It looks great as well and goes great with the washer.

The dryer is very quiet, and energy efficient. The thing we like best is its ability to stop drying before the time expires if clothes are dry. So it doesn't waste energy drying after clothes are dry. I would recommend highly to friends and family.

This is by far the best dryer I have owned. It dries fast, is quiet, and has a lot of features. The steam works well only if there are a lot of clothes in it.

I bought this as a set when I purchased a new home & I couldn't be happier. The washer & dryer are wonderful!!! They have all the functions that I need & some I didint know I needed but now I can't live without. My laundry room is on the main floor so I was worried about the noise but I am pleasantly surprised at how quiet they are. I would recommend this washer dryer set with no resevervations. My daughter has the same set & my mom will be purchasing it when her addition is complete.
