Great purchase for anyone looking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While looking at tablets I came across this Chromebook. I wanted a quality keyboard and a stylus, but found that those would likely cost extra depending on what I bought. This has both of those things, and everything else I was looking for. Build-quality is solid, performance is as good as my laptop, but in a much more convenient package. Highly recommend this purchase for anyone in the market for a tablet/keyboard combo.

Does everything I needed to and more
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my wife as a replacement for her work laptop. Aside from a very minimal learning curve (how to access downloaded files, smaller backspace key) my wife jumped right in and has been extremely happy with the screen, build quality, and overall performance. The included pen which stores neatly inside the unit has been Pleasant to use but could definitely used more functionality (like the ability to cut out a screenshot). The fact that it has a type c on either side of the unit has been of boomed for convenience and charging, Etc.

Very fast and super easy to use, very happy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've replaced my main laptop and have basically made it a permanent at home only computer that's always on, essentially a desktop computer if you will. I now use my new Samsung Chromebook Pro as my travel, work and go to personal computer and use it a majority of the time. You can still do basically everything you can on regular computer, especially being most stiff I do nowadays is online based. I can still run practically full version office products on there for the few times I need Microsoft Word or Excel. Add I can even run android apps and ability to use the Crossover app and can even do a few windows or exe files if need be and it is now everything I may ever need. So glad I made the decision to go with this particular chromebook. I've already recommended it to several people including family. Very lightweight and for a fraction of other competitor laptops that are lightweight two in one type computers.

Great little laptop, a bit expensive?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using premium (i.e. Apple) laptops for years and now find that there are a number of manufacturers that can really put together a nice piece. The screen and portability are terrific, as are the array of apps out of Google Play Store - though note that not all of which are optimized for a 12.3" screen (including the Best Buy App, weird). I really like that it is lightning fast and ridiculously portable - we're using it for an iPad replacement. And it works very well for reading, watching, browsing, emailing and app using. I can't decide if I think that its pricey though. An iPad would cost as much or more - while an iPad would be of better build quality, it has a smaller screen and no-keyboard. After going through a couple of iPads I really have no use for them anymore. Very portable laptops/2-in-1's are the way to go. I bought a $550 HP Windows laptop for my son recently - that also has really strong build quality and is more powerful as its Windows 10. Seems like he can do more for about the same price point and has an HDMI output. So I think that in the end the $499 sale price that I got this Samsung for could be cheaper but I'm very much enjoying it and honestly the overall investment is still minimal and in the ballpark of a keyboardless iPad

Great chromebook for office work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this chromebook for a lot of writing, slide deck creation, and excel sheet manipulation in google docs in addition to note taking and it works great. It responds well with both the keyboard and touchscreen and having a dedicated stylus is a nice touch. It was a little pricier than some other Chromebooks, but it was worth the cost to do similar things to the PixelC without the $1000 price tag.

Smooth, fast, beautiful, useful.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's got Android Apps and they all work very well (those I've tried). I like to know I don't have to unsheathe my phone to do some things. Its screen is second to none. Sometimes I find myself in awe of its crispness. It's very light, which is great for tablet mode, and the lid magnetically clasps to the back for a secure closure-- nice attention to detail. I have an old desktop at home for when I must use Windows on the Chromebook-- I just remote in with Chrome Remote Desktop and it's seamless. I also have the Late 2017 13" hp Spectre x360 with 16GB Ram; 512 nvme SSD; 8th Gen i7 and I prefer to use the Samsung Pro. Seriously, it's a perfect middle-ground between a phone and a laptop. It never stutters with its measly 4GB of RAM. And did I mention its beauty!?

Great chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First chromebook I have owned. Coming from a windows laptop that cost 3 times as much, I will say that I love this Samsung Chromebook Pro. The screen is bright and sharp. The stylus has very little if any lag. Sturdy aluminum construction. Comes with 64gb of memory on board, but I added an additional 64gb SD card. I would buy this chromebook again and again.

Q: Questionis the Chromebook solid state?
Asked by Alexander.
- A:Answer The Chromebook is in the strictest sense a solid state device. However, if you're referring to its hard drive, the 64Gb drive (or 32Gb) is not an SSD (solid state drive), but is listed as an eMMC (embedded multi-media card) which is slightly slower than an SSD, but probably not noticeable to us mere non-geek mortals.

Q: QuestionIs there anything a person can not do with Google Chrome Operating System that Windows or Apple would be able to do. I was thinking about a word processor or a photo viewer or something else I'm not thinking of. Should be able to find an app for these.
Asked by Sputnik.
- A:Answer Good question, just had my pro for a week and just happen to have a list: The chromebook can't perform operations that require drivers and can't be run directly from USB. For example, playback of surveillance camera footage on a swann dvr is not possible although the live streaming app (originally designed for android phones) works fine. Certain programs require software operating on a windows pc in order to perform wifi sync between the android phone and another android device. Since the phone apps that are installed on the chromebook using the googleplay store are phone apps which have been adapted for chromebook, they will not sync between the chromebook and android phone directly. If you shoot videos on a typical digital camera it will be in .avi format. Chromebook will not play those videos at all unless converted to another format using a complex file-by-file process. If you have an older printer that is connected to your windows pc using a usb cable i.e. it is not connected to wifi or LAN network then you can't print to it directly nor with Google Cloud. If you have Excel or Word documents, that you transfer over to your chromebook, say with a usb dongle, then you can read them but not edit unless you pay subscription to Microsoft. They call it 365 or some such. You can't import your Excel spreadsheets to Google sheets if the Excel spreadsheet has password protection because Google sheets has no password protection feature. The usb-c charging connector and charging cable are not compatible with the usb connectors your house is filled with. You must buy an adapter cable. I still like the chromebook pro very much, just be sure to do your homework before springing for any chromebook. I'll write a review later.
