Q: Gift card used for down payment?
A: Yes. Best Buy gift cards are often given as promotions for phones and can be applied to the 2 year contract price of the phone. I'd just like to mention that the 2 year contract price (which is usually the most advertised price) is rarely the best deal.
Q: ATT SAMSUNG activation and migration question?
A: I will answer part 2 first. You can download a Samsung smart switch app that allows you to quickly move your apps settings, photos videos and passwords from your old samsung to your new one. I was very impressed by its speed. As for activating the phone, I bought mine at the best buy store so best buy activated it for me. I am assuming if you bup online you should be able to activate it yourself but that is only an assumption.
Q: 250.00 gift card promo for Galaxy Note 5
A: yes it is available
Q: with the inactivate phone, do you still need to sign a 2 year contract to use it
A: No but if not you pay full price. Or pay monthly for 60 months
A: You will probably have to call Best Buy to see if they have any in inventory. I purchased one about six months ago and it is on AT&T's NEXT payment program. There is not a huge difference between the note 5 and note 4. Since you have three months to go, you may just want to wait until Samsung releases the next note phone (August?) since the note 5 is almost a two year old phone.
