Q: Will there be a subsidized monthly fee if I upgrade and change my plan with Sprint?
A: Dude, I'm trying to upgrade after my last one 24 months ago. I remember the BestBuy Mobile guy saying this at the time of my last upgrade when I did a subsidized purchase of a Galaxy S7 Edge. He said that it was most likely going to be the last time I would be able to upgrade in that way. I don't think any of the carriers are offering the legacy subsidized phone in exchange for 24 month agreement, and BestBuy phased out that soon after my last one. Now they are all about these stupid leases or installment agreements. I don't know, maybe I'm the only one in the world today who performs a little due diligence on this stuff, but I doubt it. Almost every one of these new "deals", if you do the math and up up costing the same as the total purchase price, or in many cases more. Plus there is way too much ambiguity with them. "At the end of the lease term, you can keep paying monthly fees which hop longer silly to your eventually purchase, or decide to purchase the phone". Great, is that going to be based on the 2018 original price or the 2020 Prince of what is now am antiquated phone? Some say "fair market value". Who's market and same as before, 2018 o or 2020? It's no wonder the mobile providers jumped on this bandwagon, it allows their balance sheets to look WAY more favorable. I'm pretty sure if they could, that's have everyone paying to lease phones on plans with no termination, just perpetually paying, maybe upgrading every 18-24 months, no credit when you turn in the old phone, simply get your new one, and probably bump the monthly lease payment each time you do. I was hoping BestBuy would come correct and maintain at least one legacy option, but it looks like that's a pipe dream. I have always upgraded through BestBuy stores or websites instead of directly through Sprint due to a number of key advantages. They usually offered better deals, were always far more flexible than Sprint (With 5 lines on our account, they would let us upgrade the phone associated with a line not yet eligible for upgrade using another line's eligibility, something Sprint corporate stores wouldn't do), and finally the consistent fact that the overall experience of going into a BestBuy Mobile store always was, and still is far better than going to a Sprint Store. But at this point, I think I'll just start buying my upgrades in eBay, simply because there are no more advantages to using these guys.
Q: Why does the picture on the phone for sprint have an At&t cell signal on it?
A: Stock picture: the “active” name was exclusive to AT&T, just like “Sport” was offered on the S5 for Sprint. AT&T lost the exclusivity of the “Active”, and is now is also available for Sprint.
A: Not with this phone model: only available with AT&T and Sprint.
