Loving It!
|Posted .Before I talk about the phone I must thank Amber for sticking with me for an extremely long upgrade and device swap process. All of the problems we had were with Sprint, not Best Buy or Samsung. Long story, short, I was in the store for about 6 hours. Amber kept her cool while on the phone with the Sprint rep and we finally got it all set. It was actually kinda fun chatting with her and the rest of the employees since I was there so long. OK, the phone... I use my phone for taking photos so that was the main reason I upgraded from the S8. The new camera is stellar! I can't believe some of the pics I've been able to capture. I can't wait to take it on my next trip. I hesitated to go with the Plus but I'm glad I did. It's not that much bigger in my pocket but the larger screen is nice.

A Great but not Excellent Phone
|Posted .Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use3 out of 5I bought this phone as a switch over from my current LG model that was starting to give me problems. Pros: Great design Tolerable performance Take great photos under normal or ideal conditions 3.5 mm headphone jack still present Wireless charging great water-resistant rating (IP68) Adequate memory Cons: Too many bloatware Not enough features Camera takes blurry pictures in low lights Camera automatically switching between modes Too expensive for the offered features as well as not having the latest mobile CPU Limited color options / choices Great audio but the bass does sometimes sounds less that desired / optimal Inadequate amount of RAM

Great Improvement on S8
|Posted .I upgraded from the Galaxy S8 to the S9+. I prefer the smaller version of the phone and still consider it the better version of the 2. I chose the S9+ due to the dual camera and the larger batter and can safely say that I am able to get through an entire day 10-12 hours with 35% battery left. This is a HUGE improvement over the S8 as I was only getting 10-12 hours total. I only have to charge my phone at night. When I know I'm not going home, the quick charge capability allows me to get to 75% with 30-45 mins of charging. The finger print scanner relocation has been one of the best features and I find myself using it more now than before. The Live Photo is amazing and much faster than the S8. The selfies take a few shots to get it right and the 'palm' catcher is a nice feature as it has you looking in the correct position to make sure your eyes are correct in the photo. The sides are slightly raised so you can feel the glass and sides clearly defined. The phone is slippery and I have dropped it several times with out the case, luckily it was on carpet so there are no damages. I use a case consistently since it is a little harder to hold. I did not use a case with my S8. I still give 5 stars even though I wish the S9 had the dual camera because I would have gotten that one just for the size because it is much easier to hold and use with one hand.

First Foray Into Samsung In Years
|Posted .After years with Apple, we decided to switch to Android and the Samsung Galaxy 9+ specifically. I have 2 teenage sons and they wanted to switch because most of their friends have them. No biggie. From the short time we've had them, there are some advantages and some disadvantages to the phones, but mostly it's just different approaches to the same features. The screen is beautiful, the pictures it takes are beautiful, and the phone speed is impressive. We don't see much of a difference in data speed, but that could be a Sprint thing and not phone specific. The major negative to me is that it seems much more invasive than Apple. Something I never would have thought for sure. However, out of the box it tries to tie everything together and seems to monitor your usage to where it can recommend things. Not necessarily bad, but I would prefer to opt into all that instead of it making me opt out. It is less restrictive than Apple with apps and accessibility, which was the main selling point to me. So all in all, happy with them, but not a huge difference between Apple and Samsung at this point. Even the price points are too similar to give one the edge over the other.

I WAS skeptical but...
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI upgraded from a NOTE 5 which I still loved till this day but after I upgraded to the S9+ and not the NOTE 8 I was a bit skeptical. The S9+ has blown me away. Of course, though Samsung always takes away little great things from previous phones and does away with them with newer more exciting software. Like for instance on the NOTE 5 cameras software, I was able to utilize and download different camera filters or picture frames like my all time favorite "dual camera shot" where it uses both the front and back cameras to add the subject and yourself in a nice picture frame with either a heart, a polaroid, a tiny 4x4, and also the virtual shot where you take a panoramic shot and when you post it, people move around thier phones to see the whole picture you've posted. These older camera software was the best. The VR shot was great too. Samsung..I MISS THESE THINGS! PLEASE BRING THEM BACK! Don't get me wrong, the S9+ is a capable phone with newer camera software and such is good. It's fast as a bolt of lightning. The screen is amazing. The speaker system with Atmos is out of this world I mean why can't Samsung just stop deleting older camera software and just implement them in newer phones? This is so frustrating, although the camera on the S9+ is amazing. It's more professional grade and less "toyish" if you will. To sum up - Although I miss my note 5 and weening myself off it to the S9+ has its ups and downs, I do enjoy the S9+ newer features and stellar performance. I guess i'm moving with the times.
Q: QuestionI am wondering is it possible to upgrade my phone (I am eligible) without trading in current phone or doing a lease agreement. I have always just upgraded my phone in the past and would prefer this option over a lease.
Asked by Upgrade.
- A:Answer It is possible to do so on the Upgraded phone by changing the Lease to Installment Billing. I did this, but I had to pay off my last phone. Payed my 8+ off and got to keep it, and then upgraded to my new Samsung 9+. Good Luck, hope that it works for you / and or with your current Carrier.

Q: QuestionI have a Sprint Galaxy S7. I have 4 more payments, and it mine. I want an s9plus. What would I need to do. Sprint told me I had to wait till Feb. 1, 2019. Said the flex payment would be $38 a month. What are my options now? I don't want to wait.
Asked by Murdoch.
- A:Answer Go to a Best Buy so they can look at your agreement online. I have gone in several times, paid the remaining balance off and upgraded on the same day. I've been a sprint customer for years.
