Q: What is the extent of the Warranty on refurbished goods from Best Buy?
A: Depends on who you ask. If you call Best buy...they have no clue, they will refer you to their Geek Squad Tech support. Now when you call Geek Squad Tech support, one might tell you the warranty is 12 months from the date of purchase and it is through "GEEK SQUAD"...not Samsung or Best Buy. I recorded the conversation..anyways...and however, when you actually get the product, there is a nice 3 x 5 card there that says, the refurbished product carries a standard "90 DAY WARRANTY"...not the full 12 months. Anyways... that is that... I can tell you for $60...it does what I want it to do compared to the others... Call the Geek Squad and you'll see. and compare it to when you actually get the product...hey..you could always return it..if you don't like the quality and what you want to do with it. See below and read 'em and weep.
Q: If you lose right side piece of earbud can it be replaced by the 2 year warranty plan?
A: Generally speaking, if you lose all or part of a product, that's not grounds to replace it under warranty. This is the case, even if you feel it was lost due to their poor design. I had the Samsung Gear fit watch that easily undid at the clasp. It fell off one day without me noticing and was lost forever. I actually called Samsung and said it was only lost because their stupid clasp never worked, but they wouldn't replace it. However, you can't blame them for not replacing it because otherwise anyone could just call in and claim that to get extra products.
Q: how long is the battery life..8hrs or more ?
A: From the time you stick them in your ears, and play until they run out, it's about 2 hours, more or less (less if at higher volumes). The case they come with also recharges them, but I haven't tried draining them, recharging in the case, then draining again, etc... until both the case and buds are dead. I'd estimate, though, that it's probably around 4-6 hours tops (two to three charge cycles without connecting the case to micro-USB to recharge the whole thing).
A: 90 days warranty through Geek Squad.
A: I have these and an iPhone. They are not compatible in the sense of not able to see the battery life, music, or anything. The Samsung Gear app is not available for the iPhone. So you can only sync the headphones to your phone through BT and still they work funky. Mine stops playing music on its own.
