Spin VS Dell XPS.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWalked into Bestbuy to take home a Dell XPS 13.3. I5, 256 GB. Got my eye on this one and changed my mind. About the laptop: Pros: Amazing screen/display, love the matte/anti Glare Finish on the screen. Dell XPS is super glossy. The laptop is light, strong and does not heat up. Used it on my lap for about 4 hrs straight and dint feel a thing. The Fan is between the hinge VS the back on XPS. Love the way it is built too. The keyboard is lovely tooo, spacious and smooth feel for the click. One of the main reasons I dint go with XPS.( Felt the keys are small N Cluttered and not so happy with the Trackpad.). This one has a pretty good Track pad too. Has a full size HDMI on such a thin Device. Pairs well with my Samsung 4K TV. Had issues with my Sony Vaio. Smooth update process. Minimal bloatware. Con: The display looks great but somehow my white web pages has a tinge of yellow/creamy shade in it. Not sure if I have to change the default color settings or if its because of the anti glare screen. ( please help me out if you have an answer) Battery Life: 4 hrs max in 75% brightness mode of continuous browsing. not a big fan, but works for me. Shows longer life with lesser brightness and lesser resolution settings. But I like the QHD feel to it. The Dell XPS looks amazing with the infinity display, a complete head turner. i7 processor, anti glare, Better track pad/Keyboard, Flip mode, Better availability of ports, HDMI (XPS has no HDMI) are what helped me change over...

Amazingly small and fast ultrabook
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI initially bought the Dell XPS13 as it was my first choice, mainly due to the attributes it shares with the Samsung Book 9 Spin: Ultraportable, SSD and I7 processor. The XPS13 bricked on me on the 3rd day of owning it, and after an extremely frustrating week dealing with Dell CS... I returned it never to return. I started my search again for a new laptop and was shocked when I found the Samsung. I don't know how or why it evaded my weeks of searching prior to the Dell, but it had. Luckily browsing Best Buy I found this laptop and even better yet, I was able to go to a store and get my hands on one prior to purchasing. The Book 9 spin is every bit as compact as the Dell. The keyboard is very solid, though a bit shallow on key depth for my taste, but it is not a problem. The display is amazing, and WOW can it get bright in the "daylight mode" upwards of 750 nit! I wish they had a 16gb Ram version, and would have liked to be able to upgrade to a 512gb SSD at the same time, but I will just change the drive out when the time comes, and will have to deal with the RAM since it is not upgradeable. The I7 processor is plenty fast for what I do and hasn't stressed out with tasks such as using Premier or Elements. The graphics performance is fine too, though I didn't buy this for gaming. The touchpad is great as well with my only complaint centering around Windows 10 drivers more than anything. Scrolling speed in Microsoft Edge is too slow, yet in Chrome or Firefox it is way too fast... its weird. It has PORTS!... something the XPS couldn't compete with. HDMI output and 3 USB ports, plus a microSD slot that conceals the card when installed. Ergonomics are great, whether in the laptop or tablet mode. The touchscreen is flawless so far and the entire package is light and compact enough to use it as a laptop if you wish. Windows 10 does a great job switching between the two. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Unbelievable ultrabook
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI did a lot of research and was stuck between getting a MacBook Pro, XPS and this. I ended up going with this due to it seeming to be nearly identical or even better than the other two and having no real negatives reviews. The only thing that could be better is the battery but at the same time, I can watch a 4 hour movie without killing the battery and it charges extremely fast. The entire laptop is fast from start up to using any application. The only thing that takes a while is when you need to do a Samsung Update but that is only 20 minutes or so. The sound is also great and for how small the speakers are, put out a lot of noise! The screen is really vibrant and can easily be flipped. I haven't felt like the hinges would break at all and the touch screen is very nice. I would not use this as a tablet but it is nice to use the screen when scrolling or online.

THE Best (2 in 1) Laptop!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendLOVE my Samsung Notebook 9 Spin! This 2 in 1 laptop is as good you read/see/hear about online and more! Its super light weight and fast to start up or shut down. It has a stunning BRIGHT, clear, QHD matte touch screen. Plenty bright in "normal" mode. If you need more, turn on "outdoor" mode and Wow, where's the sunglasses! It's bright enough to be seen outdoors with no problem. The keyboard has contoured, backlit (adjustable brightness) super comfortable keys. The touchpad is sooooo smooth... It is so smooth and easy to use that I rarely use the wonderful touchscreen. Did I mention that the touchpad is smooth? LOL (One review, in particular, that I find really accurate is the one done by Lisa at Mobile Tech Review on you tube). Before this purchase I bought first a Dell 5000 15.6. Non HD screen and sketchy touchpad. It did have the SSD, first SSD I had. It was returned. Next was a Dell 7000 2 in 1 15.6. Great 4k screen and SSD. Touchpad was rough (compared to the smooth as glass Samsung), it was heavy and got hot on my lap. Also with the 4k screen, even with a larger battery, it didn't last half as long as the Samsung. Driver updates were necessary before it would even connect to wifi. It was returned also. If you'll watch Bestbuy closely, the Samsung runs on sale now and then for $100 off. Love the great battery life. I wait to recharge when its at 15% or less. Battery life has increased as it's been cycled a few times. To summarize (finally!): You'll be really happy with this laptop. I tried the $550, then $850 machines and wasn't happy with them. My last computer is 8 years old. So I'm buying for the long term and decided "In for a dime, in for a dollar". I'm thrilled with this machine everytime I use it. Our Daughter has the Macbook 13 inch. This is hands down the winner between the two. Equal touchpads and the SSD blows away ANY spinning hard drive. Also: if you're looking at the other Samsung Notebook "regular, non 2 in 1" Laptops, this one is the one to buy. There is very little weight penalty to have the 2 in 1 function. You don't know how much you'll use this feature until you have it! I frequently fold it into "tent-mode" for use. Its so light and thin that it fits into most any carry on bag for travel. My advice? If you want the best laptop out there (especially a 2 in 1) and have decided that this price point is in your budget... BUY IT!!!

Best Laptop I've ever owned
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendSamsung does it again. Not only do they make the best TVs, tablets and cell phones, they now have produced a laptop that sets the new bar. The features on this thing blow my mind. First, imagine taking a laptop outside and actually being able to see the screen! Second, three 3.0 USB ports! Full size HDMI port. Perfect touch and depth for the keypad. Lightweight, given the power and capability. Long lasting battery. I could go on and on, but the most awesome feature is the screen. Watch a video, TV show, or just view downloaded pictures from a website or email. The quality and clarity is outstanding!! The other feature I really like is the Samsung settings button right on the desktop. It allows user to customize and update the laptop itself, vs window settings. I had to call tech support on a MS issue and received immediate, helpful service. I just love this laptop!! If there was one thing I would change, and so far it's only one, it would be the touchpad is really slick, as in near zero friction between your fingers and the pad. It feels so different from other laptops, so it takes a little while to get used to it. Anyway, As long as Samsung continues to produce this type of exceptional PC product, it will always be my number one choice. They got it right and the Samsung Notebook 9 Spin is tops!

Sleek & light
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI purchased 3 laptops until I found the Right One: this Samsung, the HP x360 13.3 in silver, and the Dell Inspiron 13 i7359-8408. The Dell and the HP were both GREAT deals, but the Samsung was the one I ended up keeping. Here's why: OBE The Samsung was the best Out-of-box experience. After a lightning fast update, it was good to go, lickety-split. Easy. The Dell and the HP both took what seemed like forever to get it up and running. The Dell kept dropping the wi-fi which required a tedious removal and download of the driver. But the HP was even worse in the time it took to update and reupdate. Well over an hour. When you spend that amount of money, it's frustrating to have to invest that much time just to get a new computer to work correctly. The Samsung was a delight. WEIGHT Samsung was noticably the lightest of the 3. The Samsung is a pleasure to carry around. It's light, but still sturdy. FIT & FINISH The Dell keyboard and overall materials felt cheap. The HP had rough metal edges; it was uncomfortable on my wrists. Holding it in tablet mode is even more uncomfortable for this reason. The HP I bought was all silver, with silver keys with light blue letters. As someone who is a poor typist, I need to be able to easily see the keys; the light blue on silver did not provide enough contrast to easily read the keys, especially in dimmer lighting. The HP keyboard itself felt satisfying to use, so competent typists may not mind the silver keys. (The HP is also offered in a darker color which was significantly more expensive). AUDIO-VISUAL Both the audio and screen quality were noticably superior on the Samsung. The Samsung's screen is stunning. BATTERY LIFE The Samsung's battery life is unimpressive but not a dealbreaker. I knew this when I bought it and I felt its advantages outweighed this one weakness. SUMMARY I've been enjoying the Samsung and ultimately decided that it was worth the extra $300 over the HP and $400 over the Dell for something I will use daily for years. I hope this review helps those in the market for an ultrabook facing a similar buying decision.

Simply Awesome
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendYes, just like that...., simply awesome PC. I'm very impressed with the performance and speed of this PC. Even after installing a whole bunch of software that I use for processing research data, this PC keeps performing as fast as day one with an empty hard drive. The style and design of this PC is also impressive and very clever as well. Battery life could be a little better, but I usually like running it at max brightness/resolution. And believe me, the screen resolution and outdoor mode of this PC are impressive. Even like this I can easily get 3 hours of solid work done. I like that there are no overheating issues and that the fan vents are facing to the back, as opposed to the sides. And of course, I totally love the spin flexibility and tablet mode. Laptop/tablet transitions are very smooth. Overall, I love I made the right decision by getting the Samsung Notebook 9 Spin. No regrets whatsoever, not even with the price. As i say, "...just pay a little more to get A LOT MORE..."

Best laptop ever. MacBook look out.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendLove the Samsung Notebook 9 Spin. Previous had a Lenovo Yoga 2. Didn't like the Lenovo keyboard. The function keys on top were reverse and you didn't have a full size shift key. There was also a lot of bloatware. The build also felt rubbery and plastic. Performance wise I had nothing to say about the Lenovo Yoga 2 it was super fast (i7 and SSD). When I got the Samsung 9 it was sleek and slim. Good build. Feels solid with a matte metal finish that feels cool to the touch. Everything feels high end. Chiclet keyboard layout was perfect. Key travel is perfect. Full size shift key. Function keys are correct. You just press the function key as oppose to have to hit a Fn key and the F key. The touchscreen is nice. The monitor and colors are better than the Lenovo. Super light 2.7 lbs. My wife got the Notebook 9 (not spin) and that is like crazy light I think it is under 2 lbs. There are some Samsung programs but that is okay because it pairs nicely with my Galaxy S5. Put it next to my co-workers MacBook and its lighter and just as nicely built and has a touchscreen and costs less! I don't have any issues with Windows 10. Windows 8 sucked. Best laptop I ever had.
Q: QuestionNOTE TAKING, SKETCHING, AND DRAWINGI am deciding between this Samsung laptop and Surface Pro 4 but I am leaning towards this Samsung laptop. Can this laptop let me take notes, sketch, and draw like Surface Pro 4? Does it have palm rejection?
Asked by TIM.
- A:Answer The Spin does not have an active digitizer like the Surface Pro and Spectre x360. That means it can only use the same type of stylus that you can use on an ipad/iphone, etc. No palm rejection.

Q: QuestionWith Samsung planning to sell off their PC division, are they still going to provide support for this device? That's my only concern holding me back from buying this.
Asked by anonymous.
- A:Answer Having RMA'ed this product once already and because of the work (or lack thereof) would have again, I can honestly say it was the worst customer service I have ever received for warranty work anywhere. Samsung contracts a questionable repair shop in texas to do all the repairs and they did more damage to my laptop than it had when I sent it out to them and then rubbed dirt on it. When I complained to Samsung they just gave me the contact info for the shop and closed the ticket. Well the shop didn't care if I was unhappy because Samsung had already paid them, so no resolution at all. If you're worried about warranty issues get the Best Buy warranty because I guarantee if you send your device out to be repaired where samsung uses you will wish you hadn't.

Q: QuestionBattery LifeHow is the battery life?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I've only had it for a couple of days but I've been getting a solid 6+ hours so far. But then again, it hasn't been on max brightness either. And I don't do much but check basic things and research online. Maybe average 3-4 tabs open on Chrome.

Q: QuestionWhat is the best 2 in 1 device on the market right now?I want to purchase a good 2 in 1 device, is this a good device to have? I have a Samsung note 5 that's why this laptop is catching my eyes. please give suggestions. this will be my first laptop purchase.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer This laptop is perfect in every way if you're just using it for simple tasks such as Web browsing. The user experience and connectivity to my galaxy s6 edge plus was phenomenal. Only problem is if you use a higher intensive program, the battery life suffers drastically. Otherwise the laptop is perfect and I would rate it a 11/10 if it weren't for the battery life from my experience owning it. In case I didn't make it clear enough, it's connectivity user experience with galaxy phones is phenomenal and extremely user friendly and well designed.
