SEE PICS I HAVE ATTACHED WITH THIS REVIEW!
Once I moved into my first house, my main goal was to have a home theater set up for my friends and I to enjoy. After puchasing a speaker package, it was important for me to set up the speakers in the perfect position.
There are many problems with mounting speakers on the wall...
1. it is expensive
2. its annoying and looks horrible with the wires dangling
3. you are stuck if you ever want to re arrange your home theater
Once I started reading about Hover Foundations, there is no reason to even think about mounting speakers on your wall. Hover stands place your speakers in the perfect position for an ideal home theater experience.
Whether it be sports, movies or video games... having all sound effects seem like they are flying over your head is awesome. With these stands, you feel closer to the action than you ever imagined.
ADVICE: USE 1 PAIR FOR YOUR FRONTS WITH THE STRAIGHT PILLAR. USE A SECOND PAIR FOR YOUR REAR SPEAKERS USING THE ANGLED PILLAR

Great adjust ability. Comes with both types extension poles. Straight and slightly arched over you.Option of carpet spikes or rubber feet depending on floor surface. My speakers met the 10lb rating but had to modify the mount. Built for smaller satellite speakers , and I was using small bookshelf. It still worked out OK.

Very Impressive Stands

These stands are superlative. They are heavy (this is a good thing), well-built, and relatively easy to assemble.
Upon first opening the box, you see easy-to-follow instructions, and all of the parts are sorted and labled in individual compartments in a long strip of bags. No more sifting through a bag of fifty different parts and comparing bits to the pictures to find the right one. Instead, each little compartment is labled with something like: "8 - Rubber Base Pads (E)". The instructions tell you when to use each part.
The stand also comes with a fairly large selection of different mounting options, so don't be worried if you have many parts left over when you are done.
One thing you must keep in mind with these stands is that if you have small children or rambunctions pets around, they are not too difficult to tip over, because the base is fairly small. It would not take too much of a jolt to tumble these things over, especially if you have the speaker mounted fairly high and/or the speaker is heavy.
The finish is put on well and fairly attractive (black cast iron.) Of course, taste is subjective, but I think they look better than most other stands out there, and they should wear well, since they do not have a glossy finish prone to scratches.
All in all, while these stands are not cheap, they are fairly good.

NO OTHER SPEAKER STAND CAN COMPARE

the general opinion is that "speaker stands are speaker stands, what else is there to say" NOT ANY MORE!
explosions, airplanes, gun shots, etc all sound like they are flying directly over your head. after hooking up these stands using the angled pillar, i caught myself looking up at them four times during the first movie i watched.
these stands make the home theater experience more realistic than ever before, not to mention the cheap price.
THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE IF YOU ALSO USE YOUR HOME THEATER FOR VIDEO GAMES!!!!!
the straight pillars included are best if using them for your front speakers, but the angled pillars maximize your rear surround speakers in amazing fashion.
its may seem odd to speak so glowingly of speaker stands, but they will put the ideal finishing touch on your home theater!!

These stands assemble very easily, and come with many plates to hold different types of speakers. Supper heavy, and will hold up to 10lb. speakers. I am getting two more today for my front speakers. They had different backing brackets, and didn't think they would work, but tried them when I got home and no problem. I wish the finish was a smooth black, but these won't show scratches, if they will even scratch. The finish is like the old speaker stands I used when I was in a rock band many years ago. I would highly recommend these stands. To bad they couldn't have made the screws and nuts black. All in all, GREAT STANDS!

Great stands, but be aware of speaker wire gauge

These stands are absolutely terrific. They were easy to assemble and offers different mount options for different speakers. The only difficulty I had was running the speaker wire since i was using 14 AWG. It was a little tough getting it through the upper tube since it's a little more narrow. Other than that, these stands are great!

Good looking if you like flat black, which I do. Steel tube for the stand with a steel plate to park the speaker on. Nice heavy cast iron base. No plastic junk here. A bit fiddly for one person to put together, but I had all four of them together (I bought two sets) and the speakers mounted in about an hour. Comes with an angled and straight tube for the top, and a fair selection of mounting options. Carpet spikes in addition to rubber feet for the bottom are nice.

I bought my first pair and had to come back for the second pair. They are very easy to assemble and are very functional and can be used with many speakers. Small notch at bottom isnt very functional. however, that was not enough to stop me from buying them.
A:AnswerHello,
The HF1b includes a special top plate for Klipsch Quintet satellite speakers but it would require that you remove the swivel base to expose threaded inserts in the back of the speaker. The manual is available for download here: http://www.sanus.com/assets/HF1b_016901-170010.pdf and will show you the included top plate options on page 7. Part # 14 and 15 are for Klipsch speakers. The HF1 includes angled and straight upper pillar options. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
A:AnswerThe speaker stands come with a universal mounting kit that should work with most speakers. Unfortunately we do not keep a database of every speaker and if it will fit. You can take a look at the instruction manual at www.Sanus.com for a list is of what is included, this might give you a better idea, otherwise what most Home AV installers recommend is not to use the mounting hardware at all and instead just use sticky pads or Velcro on the speaker and top plate, hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!
A:AnswerGood afternoon and thank you for the question. The HF1's will work with nearly all the speakers on the market today. It comes with a variety of mounting hardware. The ORB speakers surely are an unusual shape but I'm assuming they must have screw holes on them somewhere to attach the bases on them. Otherwise surely you could leave the bases on them and mount to our flat top plates.
Thanks,
Ross

A:AnswerUnfortunately we do not keep a compatibility database for our speaker stands. You could check out the sanus website and download the instruction manual and technical drawing for the speaker stands, this should give you a good idea if they will fit or not.
