Ok, NOW They're Running Out of Ideas
I admit, I love most of the animated Scooby Doo stuff (including the Lego ones). This includes the newer movies. However, between this one and the cooking one, I really do worry they are at least SOMEtimes trying to take the Scooby Doo name and slap it on anything to make a buck (probably a "no duh" situation, but yeah). As a reference, I love the Loch Ness Monster one, the Wrestling ones (both of them), and the Haunted Hollywood (Lego) one.
On that note, it's a four-star review because of that, balanced with the fact that my son LOVES it... and, in the end, isn't that really what matters with these movies? Good DVD, enough content to easily be worth the money, so yes, still recommend it.
Not the best of the Scooby movies, but still good.
Although I was initially skeptical of these newer Scooby-Doo movies, I've been pleasantly surprised by some of them. Big Top Scooby-Doo was not among my favorites but it was plenty enjoyable and I'm glad I bought it.
Without giving anything away, there are a few moments involving menacing creatures that might frighten very young/sensitive children but I'd say that it's typical Scooby fare so if your kids are accustomed to the formula, there shouldn't be any issues.
My toddler loves Scooby Doo. It is hard to come across the movies at a decent price and this one was a great deal, and also a blu-ray so big plus. He loves it and we have watched it about 50 times already. Will likely be going back looking for more of these.
