Q: Is this compatible with a ps4 gaming system?
A: It doesn't list gaming systems as being compatible but it works perfectly fine for my Xbox one so as long as your PS4 is USB 3.0 you shouldn't have any issues
Q: Does this drive use an external power source
A: Yes, it has its own power adapter that you plug into an outlet. Most larger capacity external hard drives do.
Q: What year model is this item?
A: It is a more recent model and it is fast and quite. The 8T models are noisy and have problems. My 6T is the best unit I have owned to date from the company. I have two 5 Ts and two 2Ts.
A: It is compatible with MacOS and Windows. When you connect the drive to a Mac, there is a folder with software for the Mac, but I just use it with Time Machine without installing anything.
Q: Will this work with time machine?
A: Yes, you can designate the location of the time machine files. I partitioned the drive into two 3 Gb volumes, one for time machine and the other for general use.

A: Yes, you can connect this external hard drive to Microsoft Surface Go.
