Great Smart Light Bulb!

The light is bright and has a warm white feel. Though, I wish Sengled would improve the pairing process, as it is a little challenging at times. Overall, a great smart bulb and cheaper compared to Philips Hue.

Having voice commands with Alexa is convenient and I prefer it since our switches were originally installed backwards. I had an existing Sengled hub, so setup was a sinch. I cannot speak to setting this up without one, but I imagine it is just as easy.

The price first of all, is unbeatable. I don't understand why you would want to spend double the amount for smart bulbs if you can purchase these. Super easy to set up and connect to my Alexa/Smart Things. I ended up purchasing another set of bulbs because I like them so much.

Just be aware of the dimming levels, which may not dim to your expectations if you're previously used a dimmer module. For example, when I dim to anything below 10% you really don't see much change. In fact, setting it to 1% is equivalent to about a 10% level I saw with a zwave dimmer module. But, all in all these bulbs work well. I have 8 of them in my system and they're quite reliable.

- A:Answer No you will have to buy the hub. If you purchase the starter kit that comes with the hub and 2 bulbs that is all you will need. You can control up to 64 bulbs on one hub

- A:Answer If you're asking whether this bulb supports 5ghz wifi then the answer is no. But that's because this is not a wifi bulb. It's a Zigbee bulb that requires a hub, such as the Smartthings hub (which is how I use these).

- A:Answer Zigbee. The wireless versions will clearly state wireless on the packaging and will have the universal wifi icon stamped on them. They work directly off your router and have proven to not be as reliable as the zigbee bulbs requiring the hub. I recommend getting the hub because of its direct ethernet to the router/modem.

- A:Answer Some of these bulbs require a hub to work and some don't. Check the "Overview" section before purchasing. The "Smart Wi-Fi" ones look like they don't need the hub but READ THE OVERVIEW to be sure. I needed ones that work with a hub and almost purchased the wrong ones.
