Q: Dies the shark work with hard wood floors
A: I know you are asking about wood, but I use it on tile, and it is way better than the Hoover that I used to own. The beater bar is still when put into bare floor mode, and the suction is outstanding. It picks everything up. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Q: Is the lift away canister heavy to carry around?
A: So I've used it as a lift away canister a few times. It really isn't that heavy, but if you think that you will be using it like that for a while you might as well place the unit on the canister accessory that comes with it that lets you roll it around. :)
A: Hello BeaterBrush, To remove any hair, fibers, or debris that is wrapped around the brushroll, there is a groove that allows a pair of scissors to cut across to loosen debris, and a portion of the base is hinged for better access to the brushroll. Best Regards, Customer Service Team
Q: Compare Shark Rotator and Shark Professional
A: My strategy is to get a middle-of-the-line product, not the top of the line. I found the Shark Rotator (emerald) perfect for my needs, a 3000+ square ft home with about 2000 square feet of hard floor and throw rugs, and about 1000 square feet of carpet. Most of the mid- and top-of-the-line vacuums, and even ones that cost $140, have HEPA filters and are bagless. The emerald model has a smaller form factor and smaller dust bin, but has plenty of capacity for my needs. It is very easy to use, converts quickly to a canister and back to an upright, and even comes with a second upright head and microfiber pad for hard floors. Bottom line: this Rotator is more than adequate, and you don't need the "seen on TV" Shark that comes with a "free" canister.
A: Yes, the brushes only work when the handle is reclined.
A: Yes it does come with the rolling caddy. It also comes with a bunch of attachments that work great for dog hair. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and it is hands-down the best vacuum ever!!!
A: Yes there is a button on the handle that lets you easily switch between thick carpet, carpet/low pile, and hardwood floors. Selecting the hardwood floor turns the brush off.
Q: Does the shark get the cobwebs off a ruff ceiling?
A: Yes, you can use this vacuum to remove cobweb from the ceilings.
