Q: How is the mic for phone calls? Can the other party hear you clearly?
A: I use these for phone calls all the time walking around my college campus between classes. If I ever get a complaint from the person I'm talking to, it's that they can hear the people around me too clearly. The mic is fantastic.
Q: How are these for long runs?
A: I can't answer for runs. But I can tell you that I have had these on for a several hours at a time tilling my property, getting jerked all over the place by the tiller when it hits roots. I have also cleared brush with these while jumping in and out of the bed of my truck loading branches. And I have worn them on my utility tractor clearing high grass and small trees. All of these activities ended with very sore muscles, lots of sweat, joints that have ached from the jolting. Not a single time did these come out of my ears.
Q: Does the cord retracts in and out of the main unit
A: The cord does not retract in or out, it is a fixed position. I was worried about that as well. The cord is plenty long. I am 6'5" and have a long neck and it is not a problem for me at all. Absolutely great ear buds.
A: Great question! They do not allow your headset access to my phone's list of contacts for use with the Caller Announce feature and it cannot convey voice commands.
Q: Do I have to charge it? If so, how long does the battery last?
A: Yes you have to charge them. They come with the charging cord. All you have to do is plug that cord into a existing usb cell phone charging outlet. I used the wall plug that I use to charge my iPhone. My charge lasted about eight hours which is pretty good for the price.
Q: are these compatible to use for rosetta stone language learning? will use with Mac Pro
A: I use these with my MacBook Pro without issue. I have not used them with Rosetta Stone but they have been compatible with everything else on my Mac.
