Q: Can I add rear speakers to this Soundbar system?

A: Hi Naveen, No, rear speakers can't be connected to the unit. ~Ralph

Q: The audio is quite disappointing when streaming HBO or Showtime. Does anyone have ideas on how to fix? Currently using HDMI ARC, Cinema mode, Vertical Surround on.

Q: I recently purchased the HT-X9000F along with a 2018 TCL Series 6 TV. While it sounds great, is there any way to have its menu appear on my TCL 6 series? It's hard to know which mode I'm in or cycle through the settings without having them show up.

A: Hi Kyle, as long as the soundbar is hooked up to your TV via HDMI, pressing the home button on the soundbar's supplied remote will show its menu on the TV. Thanks, -Mark

Q: can i use dolby atmos speakers for the sony soundbar ht-rt3

A: Hello bob, it should work. For more information, kindly check the link below: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4587/537190bca1c7e4319f4ef68687166715/45877711M.pdf, see page 29 Regards, _Bob

Q: Can the subwoofer be placed sideways on a shelf?

A: Yes, the speaker can be placed sideways.

Q: 1) How to enable Dolby Atmos - I connected with HDMI ARC that came with speaker. 2) How to have the best vertical surround effect ? I keep the speaker and TV on the carpet I have no stand 3) It says it can upscale to 5.1 and 7.1 surround. How to do it?

A: 1. ATMOS DOES NOT work when connected through ARC. You must connect the source into the input channel on the soundbar to receive Atmos. You also must be playing from a source that supports Atmos (the player, App, and media all must support Atmos.) There is no indication on the bar or on the screen when it is playing Atmos, but you can hear the difference if set up correctly. The center of the TV should be at eye level when viewing, and the bar should be just under that for best vertical surround. If you are connected through ARC you will not see on-screen indicators telling you whether you have vertical surround activated or not, you have to toggle the button until you can hear the sound. If you connect the source directly to the HDMI input on the bar you will see an on screen indicator when you have changed any sound mode including vertical surround. 3. Upscaling is automatic. If you are playing a 5.1 source with vertical surround, that is what they consider upscaled to vertical. It is a marketing tool and not true 7.1 unless you were adding additional speakers, although you can hear a difference in the way the room fills with sound.

Q: How can activate dolby atmos from the soundbar? I'm currently connecting the PS4 or Google chromecast to the HDMI in.
