Q: Does this radio have 87.7 fm
A: Hi Luis, Yes, this unit supports 87.5-107.9 MHz FM tuning range. You may refer to the link below for more information: https://docs.sony.com/release//SPECS/XAVAX200_mksp.pdf ~Ralph
A: Yes, you should be able to. i just installed this stereo in my 2005 F-150 along with an el-cheapo backup camera from Amazon. The picture looks fantastic on this receiver. Of course, you would have to run the wire down to the receiver from your rearview mirror (or run a new wire from the backup camera). This receiver has a "reverse in" wire in the provided harness. I spliced that wire into my vehicle reverse wire (under the dash), plugged in the yellow RCA cord from the camera into "Rear Camera In" port on the back of this receiver, spliced red wire from the camera (ACC power) into the red wire of this receiver's harness, and grounded the black wire (GROUND) from the camera to vehicle chassis. Those are the only 4 connections that are needed. As soon as I throw my truck into reverse, the backup camera immediately kicks in (no matter what was on the receiver previously). It has been working flawlessly. Another benefit of this way of wiring is that you can look behind you anytime you want (without putting the vehicle into reverse) since there is also a "Camera" soft button on the home screen of this receiver that activates any one of the three camera inputs. good luck.
A: You can use bluetooth for audio streaming but not CarPlay. You still have to plug in a usb cable from the radio to your phone for CarPlay capability.
Q: Can I use the SiriusXM while I’m using the nav feature from my iPhone over CarPlay?
A: Yes you can have Sirius XM over the Sony and have the Apple Maps on the screen . I just tried using the Sirius XM app on my phone and with Maps up on the Sony screen I can hear the sat over Wi-Fi channel and use apple navigation.
Q: I have a 2003 BMW Z4 3.0 I, does this radio/CD/Etc fit in the radio area of the dash?
A: This Sony xav200 is a double DIN. the two main radio sizes are “single DIN” and “double DIN,” and it’s actually pretty easy to figure out which one you need. If your car has a single DIN head unit, the front face plate should be about 7 x 2 inches (180 x 50 mm). If you have a double DIN head unit, the front face plate will be the same width but twice as tall.
A: If you buy the appropriate adapter you should be able to keep the steering wheel controls, warning chimes etc. There are numerous websites that can show you which adapter you'd need for your vehicle if that fails maybe the Car Install Geek Squad team can help answer which one to go with. I have a GM truck and was able to keep my controls with a PAC adapter.
Q: Does Best Buy have a Technician department that does installs?
A: Absolutely. And they're very good. I had them install a new Sony touch screen audio/video CD/DVD player with Sirius XM in my wife's 03 Avalanche and it looks like original equipment from Chevy. We did have a slight problem with the SXM antenna, but took it back in and had it replaced in a matter of minutes. Tech did a GREAT job!
