A: Yes. I have the same issue and that is why I bought it. It's comparable to a fan but blows cooler air. We still end up using the ceiling fan too since the room is far from the a/c.
A: Don't depends on the mist because it comes out little bit not enough to cool your room. Fill the water to the minimum level and fill it all with ice that the only way to cool your rooms
A: I wouldn't recommend the use of this product in a humid environment. Evaporative coolers work on the premise that the relative humidity in the environment you're attempting to cool is much less than the ambient environment. Florida is far too humid most times of the year to make this an effective cooler. Consider a window-mounted air conditioner.
