A: Hello, it appears the MD789LL/A is a 1st generation iPad Air and based on size comparisons of this generation and the 10.5 iPad air it does appear that it would fit for the most part. However, the newer iPad Air's are thinner and lighter so this may not be a good fit for the older generation 1 iPad Air in that area.
