Teen Titans Go! To the Movies [Blu-ray] [2018]

Lot of great moments then a lot of cringe! Wasn’t sure what to expect picking this film up. It was nice I would say at least watch it once very enjoyable.

I can't lie, I grew up watching the original Teen Titans show and was originally iffy on the concept of Teen Titans Go, with its different animation and departure from the serious storytelling the original had. But watching the Teen Titans Go show was nothing but a great time; it's a crazy funny show. The movie takes everything that makes Teen Titans Go great and dials it to 1,000. It's very similar to The Lego Batman Movie, in that it's very self-referential, has a joke almost every five seconds and is an absolute joy to watch the whole way through multiple times. When the characters aren't spouting one-liners, there's a background visual gag that'll have you laughing, or a subtle reference that'll have comic fans giggling endlessly. Seriously, this movie is a blast for both kids and adults.

It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies-everyone but the Teen Titans, that is. But de facto leader Robin is determined to remedy the situation, and be seen as a star instead of a sidekick. If only they could get the hottest Hollywood film director to notice them. With a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart, the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town, certain to pull off their dream. But when the group is radically misdirected by a seriously super villain and his maniacal plan to take over the Earth, things really go awry. The team finds their friendship and their fighting spirit failing, putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line.

I had my doubts about this movie before watching it since I was a fan of the original Teen Titans series in the early 2000s, and many people stated they didn't like the current Go version. All I can say is that this movie was a surprise, and was a great movie to watch. Kids and adults alike will be able to enjoy the movie with plenty of references to pop culture thrown in. Even if you're not a fan of the Go version of TT, don't snub the film, it really was a fun to watch movie that didn't overstay its welcome.

This movie is great. Was a little unsure why they decided to do a movie of the tv show but man am I glad they did. The film makers really paid attention to the details here with thousands of inside jokes that I'm sure many adult DC fans will catch. I mean Nicholas Cage voices Superman! Even Stan Lee makes a cameo only to instantly realize he's in the wrong movie. The kids will love it for the slapstick humor and the adults will catch many easter eggs aimed at them.

This show has gotten so much hate but the movie itself is just hilarious, I’ve always wanted to watch it and it was worth it. So funny but here’s the small problems, there’s lots of adult themed things that try to make the movie funnier but some of it scratches your head and if your a parent you wouldn’t really want your kid to see it but you know deep down you are dying from laughing so it’s an okay movie to watch and laugh

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this moving. The music, the dialogue, the jokes are all incredibly well done. I’m very surprised this film the dump form better at theaters this past summer, but it was up against some strong competition. On home media, this film will certainly find its place. You Will not be disappointed.Highly recommended!

The TV show is so well written, with many jokes that only adults and/or comic book lovers will get. The movie continues this tradition. Very well written, couple of cool surprises (Marvel guest star, anyone?) and a cool story make for a great experience. Bust out the popcorn and enjoy!
