    Synopsis

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze
The crime-fighting Turtles -- Michaelangelo (Michelan Sisti), Donatello (Leif Tilden), Raphael (Kenn Troum), and Leonardo (Mark Caso) -- return in this quickly made sequel to the popular superheroes' first film. The story concerns arch-enemy Shredder, who kidnaps nutty professor Jordan Perry David Warner, the man who invented the infamous ooze, in order to use the ooze to destroy the Turtles. Shredder enlists his hapless German shepherd puppy named Rahzar and a baby snapping turtle named Toko and dips them in the ooze to turn them into horrible and imposing ninja warriors. But on the Turtles' side is proficient kick-boxing pizza boy Keno (Ernie Reyes Jr.), who uses his moves to help the Turtles stop Shredder and his monster warriors. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi

I absolutely love this movie. This is by far the best in the series. The Foot (a Japanese crime organization in America) seems crumbled after the destruction of Shredder in the first movie, but like all bad guys Shredder comes back and at the end of the movie gets supersized. The guys (turtles) have to find a new place to stay because the foot knows the location of their old place. All I'm going to say is that the new place they find is tight. Considering when this movie was made, there was a lot of action. This truly is a shell-shocking experience that everyone should enjoy.

TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze is not as good a movie as the first in the series. It suffers from less inspired martial arts, a manufactured existential crisis on the part of our green heroes, and bad guys that are beyond ridiculous. Of course, all of this is forgiven the instant Vanilla Ice steps onto the stage and starts performing "Ninja Rap", straight out of the "so bad it's good" flavor of nostalgia. Video quality is not spectacular but the Turtles look as good as they can on this transfer from old film. Enjoyable movie overall. Go Ninja Go Ninja Go!

A fun film for little ones. Not as serious as the first film, but ok none the less. The action was toned down considerably when compared to the first film (thanks to parents complaining about the violence). These are ninja turtles with swords, nunchuks, staffs, and sais that don't get to use them at all. Instead they fight with salami sticks and pretty much anything BUT their weapons...haha. Not a big deal for little ones but old-school fans had much to complain about with this film. Still it's a fun film none-the-less.

I use to love the Turtles as a kid. With the rebranding of them in the new film release, I wanted to re-watch the live action films so that I could compare to the new version. I was excited to see Best Buy not only have them but at a reasonable price and advertised to get people excited about the new film. This is still my favorite out of the 3 live action ones made and in comparison to the new film, there are elements of this one I like better. Glad I was able to watch it again and have it apart of my DVD collection.

I was a huge TMNT fan when I was a child. It is wonderful to relieve those days with this copy of the movie. However, I could easily leave the '90's music and fake fighting sounds, haha. A great starting point for young ones who would like to see how the Turtles have evolved over the years, up to the recent television shows and blockbuster movie.

I watched this movie when I was a kid and now that the new ninja turtles movie came out, I decided to go out and buy the old movies. I bought 4 older movies and they were all awesome but this is my favorite. It's cool to be able to find movies from your own childhood. It has a lot of action and comedy. A must have for ninja turtles lovers.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze,' isn't quite as good as its predecessor, but it's close enough, and therefore recommended. Look for early 90's rapper 'Vanilla Ice,' singing his made for the movie 'Ninja Rap' song towards films end.
