    Terminator Salvation
The fourth installment of the Terminator series follows an adult John Connor (played by Christian Bale) as he attempts to organize a human resistance force which could prove to be mankind's last true hope in the war against the machines. Opening in the year 2018, Terminator Salvation finds John Connor's certainty about the future shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious stranger named Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), whose last memory is of sitting on death row and awaiting execution. Unable to determine whether Marcus was sent from the future or rescued from the past, Connor begins to wonder whether there is still any hope left for the human race as the robots grow more powerful and aggressive than ever before. It appears that Skynet is preparing a devastating final attack designed to eliminate the human resistance once and for all, leaving Connor and Marcus with no choice but to strike back at the cybernetic heart of Skynet's operations. Once there, the two battle-scarred soldiers discover a devastating secret regarding the potential annihilation of all humankind. Anton Yelchin fills Michael Biehn's shoes as a young Kyle Reese in the first installment of a planned Terminator trilogy from director McG (Charlie's Angels). ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Directors Cut + Theatrical Version for $7.99?

Just purchased this Blu-Ray from Best Buy today for the low price of $7.99 as of 04/12/2012, not sure if BB made a mistake on this purchase but it is worth checking into. This ad shows you get a digital copy, but mine came with both the Directors Cut & the Original Theatrical version which is a BB steal! Anyways this movie is worth the purchase if you are into the series of films it has some really great action moments. They signed on some big names this time around with Christian Bale, Sam Worthington & Michael Ironside. The FX is tops, even if the script is only average. This time around you are catapulted into the future world of the terminator where man is holding on by his nails, with the resistance finding a solution to the rogue machinery, sending their best into the field to fight the menace, John Conner, Humanities only hope. Throw in some side plots, a young Kyle Reese who has been captured by the terminators, now John must not only save humanity but must save himself by saving Reese, or John Conner will cease to exist in the future. Good solid Sci-Fi & definitely worthy of a BB purchase. Video Looks clean & sharp a very good encoding. Audio is lively & makes good use of surrounds & LFE Bass is deep, this soundtrack will give your audio equipment a good workout! If you can find this package with the dual Directors Cut, plus Original Theatrical version buy it quick! P.S. I know their are two BB listings for this blu-ray but the other is not due out till June 2012, so I know I am on the right page :)

Not as good as T1 & 2, but better than 3 & Genisys

Let's be real here: I've been waiting for the Future War movie since T1 came out, and got this- the closest we've been; then we got Genisys, the time-displacement movie. Alright, fair enough. Now, if they could just go back in time, cut-and-paste the war scenes from all five theatrical movies (not counting the tv show or the cg-animated internet Salvation Machinima, though it was edited into a feature, so there are 6), plus the time machine bit, we'd have a more complete version of the future, though the machines change from film to film. They even got the Centurion walking HKs into Machinima and Genisys, though I always like Jim Cameron's original design better. ALl we need now are the Silverfish snake-mines. Eh-eh. We need a REAL FUTURE WAR FILM, with Ts, HKs, the works, beginning to end, with plenty of night scenes for great use of plasma beams, and Johnathan Edwards, the FIRST adult John Connor from the beginning (and cut-off T2 original ending) of T2. Plus I'd like to see Linda and her twin sister Leslie onscreen again. P.S.: less Sam Worthington yells ("Naaaowwww!!!") would be nice. Transmission ends, Data Control Center out. >Zheeowp<

Terminator fans, add this to your list

This review is of the Director's cut only. By now, you already know the story, this one takes place in 2018 in a post apocalyptic future where the machines are already wiping out the human race and John Conner begins to lead the resistance. (SPOILER ALERT) We also see the first "humanoid" terminators being developed by Skynet with a cool cameo by Arnold (until all his flesh is melted away). There are a few holes in the story like "how does a 100 foot tall machine sneak up on everybody in the middle of the desert in broad daylight?", but hey, who cares, just enjoy the action, it's a fun flick. The Video: A 1080P/VC-1 encode in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio. A beautiful, sharp transfer with good black levels and plenty of detail in the darker scenes. Daylight scenes are a bit washed out and a little grainy but give you the feeling of being very natural since this takes place in a post apocalyptic future. The Audio: DTS HD Master Audio 5.1. Wow! This is one awesome soundtrack. Crystal clear detail and localized dialogue and very, very loud. This one will rock your system and your house. You will believe you are there. Conclusion: If you just love the Terminator films like I do, then you'll love this one too. If you're picky about your films then you may have a different opinion.

No directors cut and not iTunes/Mac Compatible!

This is a total rip off for a DVD at at $19.99+ I was expecting to purchase the DVD with directors cut but noticed the directors cut is only available on Blu-Ray!! On top of that the DVD version doesn't come with deleted scenes or extras, it ONLY contains the movie! Adding insult to injury the digital copy WILL NOT work with a Mac and iTunes!! I was eventually going to invest into a Blu-Ray player (possibly a PS3 since it has the Blu-Ray player) but if DVDs are going in a downward spiral like this one then It looks like I'll have to get a Blu-Ray player sooner than expected. I'll purchase the Blu-Ray version of this movie sometime in the future Note: The Directors cut Blu-Ray Version comes with a digital copy but the digital copy is filled with false hopes because it's only the Theatrical Version. Hint: Save yourself from yourself and go to your local Red Box and rent this action packed movie (non-directors cut) for $1.10

Movie is good but actual product is 2/5

I've purchased this twice and first time, it did not come with a digital copy. Second time it did but code was expired. If you do happen to get the movie, and it has the digital copy, the code should be expired. DON'T WORRY! Save the code redemption sheet, the movie AND your receipt. Contact "Warners Brothers Digital Copy" and fill out a code request form. It takes 5 days for them to respond. They'll want pictures of "the movie, movie case (front and back), code redemption sheet and your receipt". Save all of these because its the only way you get a new code. Again, the movie is 5/5 stars but the ACTUAL product is only 2/5 because it did not ship with the redemption code and when it did, it was expired.

Like the Amana dryer so far

Just got the dryer today. It matches our Amana washer that we have had for about a year now. The settings are better than our other dryer. However, when I did my first load after it was hooked up, there was a rattling sound. I opened the door and closed it to see if it was from inside, but it still continued to rattle. I put it up against the washer, and the rattling seemed to wane and then stopped. It's possible when my husband hooked it up, it may not have been balanced correctly. The know on the dryer is a bit stiff when turning, but will probably ease up with use. The price was good for what we could afford.

My beef is not with the movie but with the miserable windows media digital copy which was impossible o download and install. With itunes its a snap. every digital copy I have used for itunes was seamless. Trying to get the download to work via WB and their joke of a website is like drinking a glass full of razor blades. If you are looking for a digital copy that can be used on the most widely used portable media format on the planet ie itunes then do not buy this. The digital copy; if you can get it to work will only play on windows media, meaning it will not play on your ipod, iphone or itouch. Ugh...what a waste of money. I will be returning it bright and early.

I would put this movie in the class of the first movie. Part 2 and 3 were better. I had high hopes for this one. They seem to make the previews now days look better than the movie. I seen both versions of the movie and noticed that there was a clip in the trailer that wasn't in the movie. The part were the red head girl is screaming during an explosion. The movie just had that syfi tv channel movie feel to it. The worst part about the movie was the c.g.i. of Alnarld. So fake looking. The movie did need to be done to kind of finish the story. Now what I find is funny is that. None Star Trek fans like the new Star Trek better than the T4. As did I.
