Bishop's Wife better than remake
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. One of my favorite Christmas gems. Cary Grant was at his prime when it came out. I looked on Ebay; however, it was less expensive from Best Buy. Always nice to add to my collection; at a great price too.

A film for the ages...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I bought this for my brother and his wife as it is one of their favorite movies. I already have a copy and like me, they think the world of this film. Two words - Cary Grant. Skip the ridiculous remake, "The Preacher's Wife", that film can't hold a candle to the original and that in spite of what I heard is an excellent performance by Mr. Washington. This film has great performances all around and the film exudes the Christmas spirit back when Hollyweird was still Hollywood. Highly recommended? You betcha. Trust me. I know what I' doin' when I'm reviewin'.

The Bishop’s Wife
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Such a nostalgic movie with several amazing actors. The plot reminds us to appreciate one another & what’s most important, family & friendship. Hard work is necessary & having fun is as well. It takes me back to my childhood & what seemed to be simpler times. Loretta Young, David Niven, & Cary Grant are fabulous actors & their characters in this movie so entertaining.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Great old Christmas movie made 2 to 4 years before my wife and I were born. A Christmas movie with a spiritual message of Christmas and what really matters.

10 stars- love this movie
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I adore Cary Grant, but this is in my top 5 favorites of his movies. I love to watch this every Christmas. It is such a beautiful story, one to be revisited time and time again. I've seen the remake- "The Preacher's Wife"- but this is even better. I can't say enough in praise of this movie.

A Should Be Classic Holiday Film
||Posted .Got this for my wife as a Christmas present. She had mentioned to one of her friends that she liked this film, but seldom saw it appear on cable. Best Buy had it in stock, delivered within days, and we watched it Christmas evening. Got a few husband points, too!

The Bishop's Wife
||Posted .This first version was always my favorite. So gentile, caring, fantasy story that still rings true. The ensemble cast works perfectly. The transfer is clear, digital clean as opposed to a VHF copy. The movie is perfect for holiday viewing.
