This episode was written to accommodate the pregnancy of series star Phylicia Rashad, aka Clair Huxtable. When Clair and her mom Anna leave for Hillman College to attend a ceremony honoring the retiring president, Cliff (Bill Cosby) and his dad Russell (Earle Hyman) are put in charge of the kids. A crisis arises when Cliff tries to mediate an argument between Rudy (Keshia Knight Pulliam) and her friend Kenny, as Russell watches from the sidelines with quiet amusement. Also, Theo (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) can't understand why he has been receiving so many phone calls from giggling girls, who immediately hang up when he answers!~Hal Erickson

I love the cosby show and this is a good season except for the format of the dvd. The DVD automatically has closed captioning turned on for the episodes. So you have to turn it off each time you turn off the dvd before you watch an episode. Also there is no play all feature so you have to play each episode one by one. i prefer the formats of season 1 and 2.

Worth Watching, not buying
I doubt there is a bigger Cosby show fan then me. But season three is just weak. And it's because Phylissa Rashad(Clair) was pregnant and only in a few episodes. Her character brings a specific atmosphere to the show and when she isn't there and it's not possible for her to be there, the show misses something. I'm not saying that there are no good episodes. But unlike seasons 1,2 and 4 you can't just put these in your multiple DVD player and let it fly. You'll get bored very quickly.
Rent this one, buy the other three seasons!
