    Synopsis

    The Craft
After killing her mother in childbirth, growing up in San Francisco with her father and stepmother, attempting suicide, and moving to Los Angeles, Sarah (Robin Tunney) makes a brief stab at popularity at her new Catholic high school. Ostracized due to the untrue kiss-and-tell tales of football player Chris (Skeet Ulrich), Sarah reluctantly befriends a trio of self-styled outsiders: the horribly scarred Bonnie (Neve Campbell), the trailer-trash Nancy (Fairuza Balk), and Rochelle (Rachel True), a frequent victim of anti-black prejudice at the hands of Laura Lizzie (former Marcia Brady and future Mrs. Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor). After exhibiting latent telekenitic powers in front of Bonnie, Sarah learns that her three new friends have chosen her as their "fourth corner," the final member of their supernatural coven. Using tools stolen from a local incense-and-candle-filled boutique for practitioners of magic, the quartet summons the power of Manon, a primitive deity, to exact revenge on their tormentors and transform their lives. Drunk with power, they watch their spells get out of control, and the new coven soon realizes that with magic, "whatever you give comes back three-fold." This mid-'90s horror flick scored first place at the box office its opening weekend despite its then-unknown cast and modest budget. TV star Neve Campbell, who didn't even receive top billing, would go on to become the '90s answer to '70s horror queen Jamie Lee Curtis in the Scream franchise. ~ Brian J. Dillard, Rovi

      Scary and Sexy.

The newest outcast of a high school finds out she's a witch as she is accepted by three other outsiders of the school. This movie is a must see on Halloween or at any girl's sleep-over party. It is shrewd and suspenseful. These four witches walk around in Catholic school girl outfits, getting revenge on everyone that has wronged them. The fun stops as they begin to turn on each other. What's extraordinary is that they consulted actual Wiccans during the production of this film. Even a couple of the actors casted are Wiccan. However, this film does not accurately depict Wicca. This movie only borrows a few elements and terms and absolutely has nothing to do about the true Wiccan religion. Fairuza Balk is so terrifying, yet sexy at the same time. The scene where she is flying and only the tips of her pointy witchy boots scrape against the floor is a fantastic cringe-moment. The extras are pretty good as well. The Making-Of Featurette provides a lot of information, as well the Director's Commentary. There's also three deleted scenes that are pretty decent, although I was hoping it would explain more about Neve Campbell's character.

I grew up with Fauriza Balk in Return to oz and when I saw the craft in 1996 i was taken a back at how dark and goth she became but was also mesmerized by the movie and plot. a girl who just lost her mother moves to a new city where she encounters a group of misfit teens lead by Nancy (fauriza balk) who stumble upon a book store which has books on witchcraft. Sara (Robin Tuney) is a natural witch and has the strongest powers in the group. they become friends but start using their powers for evil instead of good as they originally had. things start getting out of control and nancy and sara have a big show down at the end. also features party of fives and screams neve campbell and skeet ulrich also from scream. the transfer is pretty good. very clear with minimal grain and colors which are rich. must own for a fan of horror or witch craft.

      Teen Witches

I liked this movie because it was different from all the witch movies I have ever seen. It was something new; witches going against each other; bringing aquatic animals out the water; a complete freak show. It was quite humorous too; some parts will just make you laugh even though they are not meant to be funny. I never knew a witch could go crazy (lol). This is a movie you can watch with your girls on a friday night and have some fun with some dark magic!

I enjoyed this movie very much, and so will anyone who might be interested in Wicca. It's just the classic Good vs. Evil film with teenage girls, it's not your usual cliche film. The concept is good and I like this movie alot.
