  When you are wanting more than TSO for rocking Christmas, then we are fortunate enough to have Gary Hoey. A former co-worker turned me on to the many Gary Hoey youtube videos out there. I bought this CD as a Christmas gift. I hope they will enjoy it as much as I do.

  Rock Out This Christmas!

  I like the traditional Christmas standards from Bing Crosby, The Rat Pack, Ella Fitzgerald, and all the others. But as a classic rock fan, sometimes I want to hear something different as I get in the mood for the holidays. Boy does this fit the bill. Nearly 40 tracks of melodies you know, but presented in a rocking way. Still very respectful to the originals but with great guitar, bass, and drums. There are so many standout tracks, but my favorites are Twelve Days of Christmas, Linus and Lucy, Deck The Halls, Happy Xmas, and Carol of the Bells. I also had the pleasure of seeing Gary and his band perform many of these tracks live earlier this month at a small club. He’s a really nice guy who spent time with the fans, and they truly seemed to enjoy playing the music. If you’re in the mood for something different around the holidays, give this a whirl.
