Lots of options for price, if you know how to use
For a 2 bay NAS the price is quite good. only thing is this is NOT User friendly, be prepared to be tweaking settings and exploring... first thing, you MUST use the setup file on the CD that came with it for the first time setup. I though i could cheat and go straight to the browser address but nope. Also the setup file is not on their website, only the quick install guide and firmware update on a dropbox link (LOL) so if you don't have a cd reader you may want to dig one out... Once it is set up it is solid. Man these guys missing the ball with he user interface\wizard, or rather lack thereof. I would have given it 5 stars if the setup was easier and they actually had a wizard explain things as you go along. when setting up the disks it literally asks do you want JBOD, RAID0 RAID1, etc, with zero explanation of the difference and what each does. so if you don't know what those mean off the top of your head be prepared to spend some time setting this thing up, because every menu is like that on here, using all IT jargon expecting you have A++ certification. I initially wanted to rate it 3 stars because of the set up but once i got it set up, this thing has a lot of options! VPN options, media DNLA, (yes it can install plex) and lots of other options like active directory and ldap( It can't be a domain controller but i think it can be a backup ldap) Keep in mind this is only a dual core Arm 7 processor with 1 gig of ram, I have not tried the plex myself on it but that may be a factor for transcoding. File transfer works flawlessy on it. I transferred over 3 TB of data on it and got a solid 120 MB/s over gigabit ethernet, which is pretty good going to the two 5 TB seagate drives i have installed in it. Was not too hot after the almost 8 hour transfer With all the extra stuff I had to give it another star so solid 4 stars If you have patience and a little tech background this is a solid NAS Definately worth the price of admission, it may even go over your expectations.

Works great
It takes some time to figure out how to use this box. Putting the drives in was no problem. Figuring how to use the software is something else.

Could give it a 4 stars but let's do 5
Once you get passed the initial learning curve and frustration shock - it is one solid device with LOTS of features. Pros: Lots of services, features and utilities. Cons: * It's an entry level NAS so if you are planning to do some heavy remote multimedia you may want to invest in a much powerful hadware. * The CD is useless, the guide is horrible and outdated and the site is just as bad. It takes a lot of web research and of course at least a basic networking/computing knowledge to get it all working. If you can manage that by all means get it.. you won't be disappointed once past it.
