Q: If I put it on my mountain bike and my bike gets stolen will I be able to track it and find it
A: If your phone is within 150’ of it. Does not provide active GPS tracking like a lowjack or anything like that.
Q: Are these better than Apples new Air tags?
A: Air tags cannot help you find you find your phone but Tiles can. Tiles also have stickers that you can put on things like your remote controls that can get lost in your house. Just like air tags the Tiles can be put on luggage, in wallets, backpacks etc.
Q: How long does the battery last? So this is useless after battery dies?
A: It says 3 year life, but the warranty is ONE year only. I bought several of the stickers 13 months ago and three died within a couple of weeks. Battery is not replaceable, either, so it seems to turn into a little circle of garbage after that year is up...
A: You will need another Bluetooth enabled device like a smart phone to run the Tile app. That device would need to be in blue tooth range of the tile you affix to your husbands phone. Just press locate device in the app and the tile will start chirping. It would work pretty well if you’re just trying to find it around the house, the chirp isn’t the loudest, even being underneath something or inside a pocket dampens the sound significantly. So you’ll need to listen pretty close. Also remember it isn’t GPS, so if his phone is out of blue tooth range (25-50 feet) you won’t know where it is. The history will show the last place it was connected to the app. So might be able to figure out where he left it.

Q: can you replace batteries in this?
A: No you cannot
A: NO! The tilt is to big for individual key application.
Q: Does the adhesive already come included?
A: Yes it is included, it’s like any other sticker, peels off from the back exposing the sticky layer. Pretty strong too.
