Q: Will the TomTom Trucker 620 provide live traffic updates by itself without a smartphone connection.
A: I just spoke with a TomTom agent and was told the TomTom Trucker 620 requires a smartphone connection to get live traffic updates. No antenna option is available.
A: Although I haven’t encountered this as of yet I believe you should contact Tom-Tom directly they stated lifetime updates (maps) are free. And that what it should be!
Q: Can it be set to avoid parkways?
A: Once you select truck or bus options it usually avoids parkways except parkways upstate if you’re driving a bus.
