Excellent

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Bought 3. Work exactly as hoped. Simple install as long as you have neutral wire access and enough room in the switch box for the unit to fit...not huge but bigger than standard toggle or Decora switch. Easy connect to home WiFi and programming via smartphone. Priced at $15 each, worth every penny. There are other brands out there priced at nearly double that.

Awesome smart switch!
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5These smart switches are awesome and are a much better choice than buying smart bulbs. First off you dont have to worry about people cutting off the switch! If you own smart bulbs then you might understand my frustration. Also, these switches end up helping you save money over smart bulbs. My kitchen alone would have required 5 bulbs! I should also note that they where a breeze to install and setup. Both Google and Alexa picked the new switches and work seamlessly. One thing to keep in though, you will need to buy new switch plates unless it's a single switch. Not a big deal, but bestbuy doesn't sell em.

Good switch, awful faceplate design concept
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use1 out of 5Pros mentioned:Lighting, Set upCons mentioned:PlateFrom a technical standpoint, the switch works fine and is easy to install, assuming you have a home built after the mid-1980s which has a white/neutral wire at each switch location. (This switch is four-wire.) I was able to install the switch and connect it to Google in about 15 minutes. But that face plate... To the designers: Whoever had the idea to not have screw holes in the faceplate should be reassigned to another division. No need to reinvent something that has worked for decades. Your design doesn't allow the face plate to be snugged up to the drywall. If you fasten the switch tightly to the junction box in the wall, you can't snap on the cover plate. If you leave some slop to snap on the faceplate you have an ugly gap between the wall and the face plate. No one has the necessary free time to do this process multiple times until it is "just right" assuming you have perfectly flat drywall and that the J-box is the wall is perfectly square. (Those with knock-down finish on your walls, good luck.) I tried adjusting the screws twice and then gave up. I assumed I was pushing my luck and that when I adjusted it again, I would snap one of the plastic tabs off the back and then be unable to attach the faceplate at all. This smart switch should make my life easier. But it ended up being a source of frustration every time I look at the poor fit up with the drywall. Stop trying so hard to be "cool" and just make a normal face plate with screw holes like every other light switch. Off to the hardware store to buy a real faceplate that can be properly installed...

Smart light perfection
Posted .Pros mentioned:Amazon echo, App, LightingThe new Echo compatibility works well and allows grouping controllers under a single group name. Using the assigned groups you can control more than on device at the same time! TP-LINK support for the HS200 is extremely easy with the use of the KASA app. The devices easily integrate with Alexa with no issues. The controllers can be configured with Kasa to be connected away from home or locally. To be controlled by Echo each individual controller must be set to Remote Control ON, in the Device Settings menu. The light switch is easy to manage but installation for me was difficult not because of wiring but because I have an older home with smaller space for wiring behind the light switch. I did manage to test the device though but wasn't able to fit it for use after testing. Installation is easy though and it does lay out and suggest if your not comfortable with wiring to seek an electrician. The button on the front controls lights off by turning off the WI-FI!

So far so good
|Posted .Pros mentioned:Amazon echo, App, Set upI put 4 of these in my home and I’m very happy so far. Easy to install and work beautifully with Alexa products. The app works great, much better than the Insignia app.

Awesome Smart Light Switch!!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Lighting, Set upEasy to install!! Hooked up seem-less with Alexa in 10 mins. Every house will be different but you have to know what is the load wire to the light and live wire to the box. And you have to have a neutral wire.

Q: QuestionCan i install this switch in a box with 2 other switches - will a regular wall plate cover it and the other switches?
Asked by MG.
- A:Answer Yes you can. I have two of them each location has two other switches in the box. I'll attach the images of the locations so you can get a better idea of how they will look. One thing to note is that these switches only come in white (as far as I know). If your house is like mine, we have mostly almond-colored switches so these TPlink ones stick out like a sore thumb. But this does not really matter to us. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionWill the HS200 operate the pre-programmed settings if the Wi-Fi Router is not operating or is not powered ON? I assume no changes or remote operation is possible without the Router; however, is the W-Fi Router needed for the pre-programmed operation?
Asked by John.
- A:Answer I just tried it and the Schedule works even if the router is off. The schedule is saved internally.
