A: You have the flow correct and yes, mine came with two 3 ft ethernet cables...
A: Exactly the same. I am at an airbnb for 3 months and set up a little office in my bedroom. The router was out in the living room. I bought one of these, connected one adapter to the router and plugged it into a powerbar, the other in the bedroom outlet and a small 4 port switch and voila, a wired connection for my internet phone which requires one as well as my laptop which I prefer over w/l if available. If you need a wired connection, there is no easier, more cost-effective way to get one in another part of the house... HTH

A: For basic use of Powerline adapters (Ethernet connectivity), operating system version is irrelevant as long as your system supports network connectivity via Ethernet. However, if you are referring to the tpPLC Utility software, then yes, it is Windows 10 compatible.
