A: You have the flow correct and yes, mine came with two 3 ft ethernet cables...
A: Exactly the same. I am at an airbnb for 3 months and set up a little office in my bedroom. The router was out in the living room. I bought one of these, connected one adapter to the router and plugged it into a powerbar, the other in the bedroom outlet and a small 4 port switch and voila, a wired connection for my internet phone which requires one as well as my laptop which I prefer over w/l if available. If you need a wired connection, there is no easier, more cost-effective way to get one in another part of the house... HTH
Q: How many of these power lines can be paired together? Would you be able to pair up to 6 together?
A: The TL-PA4010 Powerline series supports up to 16 nodes in one Powerline network. For more information, please see our FAQ here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/434/ Regards, TP-Link Support
A: For basic use of Powerline adapters (Ethernet connectivity), operating system version is irrelevant as long as your system supports network connectivity via Ethernet. However, if you are referring to the tpPLC Utility software, then yes, it is Windows 10 compatible.
A: Absolutely! All of our Powerline products are compatible with each other thanks to the HomePlug AV and HomePlug AV2 industry standards they use. For more information regarding how many Powerline adapters can be used in the same network, please see our FAQ here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/434/ Regards, TP-Link Support
Q: can a router be plugged into the TP-Link to broadcast wireless in a different area of the house
A: Yes, the Powerline kit simply acts as an Ethernet connection from one point to another in your home. Regards, TP-Link Support https://community.tp-link.com
Q: Hello, so I know this comes with Cat5 cables but is it possible to use a Cat6 with this?
A: Yes, CAT6 is backwards compatible.
A: Powerline adapters must be plugged directly into wall outlets for proper setup and connectivity. Regards, TP-Link Support
