A: My pocket juice turns off automatically if it's not being used and it turns on when it is being used. The reason why there's only 2 of the 4 lights lighting up is because it's showing you how much battery it has, so it's halfway charged. I hope that helps.
A: All I do is switch the end around; plug the small end into the Pocketjuice item and then plug the big end into a port on your computer; make sure the computer is on and it will charge it up. Takes quite a while to charge it, several hours.
A: No you can't use it as a wall charger at home. The instructions say not to charge a device and have the pocket juice plugged into the wall at the same time.
A: It worked once for me and now it won't charge anything and it won't get fully charged. I hope it works for you.

A: I use the adaptor and the short cord that came with it.
