I had a little extra money to spend at BestBuy, I had considered for some time, purchasing a new speaker but had not put a lot of research or thought into it. I ended up in BestBuy picking up an online order and on a whim went to the audio island area to start looking at wireless speakers. I found the "cheap" ones, 10 dollars, 20 dollars. I Decided I didn’t want to spend more than 25. I looked at the specs on the little ones, wondering just how loud something so small could be, and what the sound quality would be like, these looked like the end cap; cheap quality, as seen on TV items; needless to say I wasn't convinced I wanted to buy them. A team member saw me and came over to ask if I needed help. After discussing what I wanted to do with the speaker, she said that the real speakers were on sale and took me to the audio section to show me. Of course these were upward of 99 dollars; but on sale they were 70, and with my $40+ rewards and gift cards it brought the price down to where I was comfortable buying it. She spoke highly of the UV Roll, turned it all the way up and it hurt my ears it was so loud (and the sound was actually great even at that volume!) She sold it to me the moment she read all the things the speaker can go through, kayaking being the biggest draw for me. I have used this speaker multiple times during parties, gatherings, camping, biking, walking, and most recently kayaking. The speaker could be loud enough my friend in her own kayak could clearly hear it without it being at full blast, I wasn’t afraid of when I went through rapids or water sprayed on it. It played for the entire 4 hour trip, and still had a little juice left – but I didn’t need it after the trip ended so it went on the charger for our next adventure the following day!
I’m planning to buy a second one and use it in stereo :)
People we passed asked where I had my music at (they are carrying large boom box looking devices, or rigged up players in waterproof cases that muffled the sound badly) when I showed them the UV Roll, they asked where I got it and they planned to go buy one. I had at least 5 people wanting to get it by the end of the trip they were so impressed.
