bought this for my daughter and she loves it. We tried cheaper brands and I ended up taking them back because they did not do what they claimed. I have not completely figured out everything this will do yet but my daughter and her friends are having a blast on this machine. We have it hooked up to the tv and laptop and she can play karaoke videos from youtube and the words show up on the tv and the sound plays through this machine. I have not bought a cd yet, but if she wanted to make this portable she could.

The System is designed well. However, the signal from the wireless microphones to the unit are NOT strong enough. This requires higher amplification to get the desired sound level. System is very clear and distortion-free. Overall, very happy. NOTE: Maybe they can decrease the price.
