A: I'm sensitive to noise pollution, (don't get me started on leaf blowers!) One's tolerance of noise is, of course, subjective. My assessment: Low speed is barely audible. Medium speed emits a gentle, soothing white sound. The white sound masks background noise, therefore, I enable it when meditating and sleeping. High speed is considerably more audible, but when compared to many other fans is not bad. I never need the high speed. I hope this helps you.
