Q: If I have a whole bunch of videos, can I hook this drive to a Blu-ray player and have the Blu-ray player read it like it does USB flashdrives? I've heard that some HD work this way and some won't. I have a Sony Blu-ray player, if that makes a difference

A: Yes, it will work as an external drive. However, i will check with the manufacture for any limitation of supporting usb 3.0 - yes, they are backward compatible with usb 2.0, but i will still check if they support it. Hope this helps.
