Don't get if you plan on mounting a share to it
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I purchased this because I needed a bigger cloud drive for my videos and returned it after I brought it home and found out that you can't mount a share to it. It is all web-based and you must go to the WD website to access anything on it. You can't even go to https://xx.xx.xx.xx, where xx.xx.xx.xx is the IP address of your cloud drive, so not sure why they would even make such a unit. I ended up returning it and buying the WD - My Cloud EX2 Ultra 16TB 2-bay External Network Storage instead.

OK Hard Drive -External RAID WD
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Time will tell how effective this drive is. It seems to run backup fine but I had a devil of a time getting it to accept drag and drop files from other sources. Many hours spent with customer support for Western Digital.

Q: QuestionDo we have a release date? For this or the 20tb version?
Asked by Pete.
- A:Answer Best to contact Western Digital for release dates. They have released a 10TB but I doubt 16TB or 20TB which in either case are way to large and would require Partitioning to use. You could buy two 8TB or two 10TB units but that is your decision and try configuring them to make 16TB or 20TB. Note: WD My Book and WD EasyStore use RED 5400 rpm hard drives with 2 year warranty. You might consider researching and looking into other opportunities for longer lasting and better performance hard drives to suite your needs.
