A: The white light blinks constantly. Even if the computer is in sleep mode. Why? Don't exactly know but it's probably for fast access. If you're on battery just unplug it.
Q: Will this work with Dell laptop running windows 10 and below?
A: I bought the 1TB WD black unit from Best Buy about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I have a Dell laptop with an AMD8 processor and Windows 10. I can't get it to work. I have been working with WD support Level 2 for the last couple of weeks and they still have not figured out a solution. I am still working with them.

A: It comes with a USB connection.
Q: Will this work with my MacBook Pro?
A: Straight out of the box it will not work with your Macbook Pro however if you reformat the HDD it will. Just google how to do this, it is very simple!
Q: Will this work with Windows XP and USB 2.0 ?
A: Yes it will!!

A: You may need to reformat the the hard drive. Go to your Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management -> Right-Click on the drive to format and then select the file system you would like to use.
