Q: Will it stream via wi-fi in hd?
A: You can link it wi-fi with limited signal strength and it will work. A clear line of sight is best and it also depends on the wireless router you are using for wireless signal. I have mine on a 2nd floor and router in basement. Have 2 bars on WD and have not had an issue. I'm using a Netgear router.

A: It will work as long as you are connected to thevsame internal network wirelessly or hard wired. You do not have to have an Internet connection via a cable modem or other type of.
