Whirlpool 11.0 Cu. Ft. Frost-Free Top-Freezer Refrigerator: Groceries stay chilled, accessible and organized with this Whirlpool refrigerator. The clear, glass shelves make it easy to spot food and clean up any spills.
A: The dimensions of the refrigerator are 24.5 inches W x 61.75 inches H x 28.25 inches D.
Q: How many amps does this refrigerator use?
A: We bought this model in May of 2015. The "Max Amps" listed on the left interior wall says 6.5. We are running it off a standard 20 amp breaker for the kitchen, and the room lights DO NOT DIM when the compressor cycles on. When running, the refrigerator uses only about 1.0 amps (I measured it with a clamp on ammeter). It draws more current during the defrost cycle when the heater kicks on to melt the ice.
A: the wire shelf comes with it but Whirlpool has the moulding on each side of the freezer for a larger full shelf. Does not come with a full shelf and I have not seen anything from them about where to get one, may have to fabricate one myself to fit this freezer. Shame manufacturer does not have access to one since it looks like it was designed for one...
Q: What are the dimensions of the unit?
A: The dimensions are 24.5"W x 61.38"H x 28.25"D.
Q: Can an ice maker be installed?
A: Thank you for contacting us, valued customer. This model does not come with an ice maker, but it can be installed once a kit has been purchased. Should you need further information, please let us know. Warm wishes, Melanie
A: Hello: Thank you for your question. This model, according to the energy guide, will use 338 kWh in a year, and will cost, on average, $41 per year. This will depend on what your area charges are and if the temperature will cause the unit to work more. I hope this gives you the information you were looking for.
Q: Are the doors reversible so they can be swung open in the opposite direction?
A: Yes but have the store do it for you before delivery. If you already have it and need it changed, read the directions. You will need a special drill bit for one of the screws you have to change and you will have to set the unit on it's back when you change the bottom bracket of the large door. When you screw the bottom bracket back on you'll think it's not going to fit right. Just keep working at it and as the screws go in it will line up. At least mine did. Once you're all done the freezer door may not close all the way. Loosen the screw, push the door up at the end away from the bracket end...I pushed poker chips in there to force the door up hard while I tightened the screw again. That seemed to work.
Q: Does the freezer have shelves on the door?
A: Hi Tpwl, the WRT111SFDB has a single half width Freezer shelf, and the Door features 2 fixed, full width bins. Hope this helps!
