New Whirlpool Washer

I haven't had a new one for 16 years, so I am slowly adjusting to the more techie version. It seems like the wash time determined by the washer after sensing the load is long, but it may not be the final actual time, especially if I have a load of 12 small items - 1 hour? I haven't tried the steam setting yet. I did use the clean cycle which is new to me...but makes sense. So far the washer does a good job cleaning my clothes. I just wish the instruction manual had more information about the washer and its many cycles. I did look online and found some information and contacted Whirlpool. The company was very quick to respond with good information. My purchase date was May 2020 but I didn't receive the washer until August 2020. I assume COVID-19 had a lot to do with that. I was just thankful the old washer was working until the new one was delivered.
