Not using the recommended detergent can lead to additional rinse cycles and increased water usage.)

An agitator is a column located in the center of the washing tub. It may be finned or vaned, and works to clean clothes by rotating and rubbing against clothes to break down stains. An impeller is a low-profile cone at the bottom of the tub that uses fins, cones, or discs to create motion. This motion pushes clothes to rub against each other, versus against an agitator, to break down dirt.)

Q: Can you control the water level with this machine?

A: There is a deep water setting. Other than that not that i know of,

Q: How does the soak option work? Can you control the length of the soak cycle?

A: I have not used the soak option yet. I found out real quick that a lot for the cool options they have on this machine I don't use because the water level is so low. I really use bulky sheet setting and deep water. I tried color save and I had dry spits on my clothes so now I only use the settings I talked about.

Q: Can you get an agitator inside the washer?

A: Not if you want a high efficiency

Q: How do you balance your wash machine? I have the campio platinum washer.

A: Hi Puto, on models with metal feet, use a 9/16" or 14 mm open-end or adjustable wrench to turn jam nuts clockwise on feet until they are about 1/2" (13 mm) from the washer cabinet. Then turn the leveling foot clockwise to lower the washer or counterclockwise to raise the washer. On models with plastic feet, use adjustable pliers to turn the plastic leveling foot counterclockwise to lower the washer or clockwise to raise the washer. On all models, recheck levelness of washer and repeat as needed. You may want to prop up front of washer about 4" (102 mm) with a wood block or similar object that will support weight of washer.Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances!

Q: How often do you need to fill the detergent dispenser ? every wash?

A: You fill with each wash. There is a pull out draw for detergent and fabric softener under the lid. Fill to the line and good to go.

Q: Is this a direct drive or belt drive washer?

A: Hi Bigun41, The WTW8000DW does feature a Direct drive motor. Hope this helps!
