Q: How many cats can one unit handle? I have 4 cats. Would 1 litter robot work?

A: We have 2 cats, and we got 2 only because they're upstairs and down stairs all the time. We empty the one upstairs (main house) about once a week, when it's 75% - 85% full. The one downstairs is about every other week. I would think 2 would also work for you with possibly more frequent emptying. There is a 15 min. (more or less) wait time between uses while it waits to let the clumps form to cycles to empty the dirty litter, and the time starts over if another cat enters. I highly recommend them and they are well worth the money. You don't have to use their bags. We use tall kitchen bags, and they work just as well. You don't have to worry about when to empty, because the apt tells you. The cats love it because they always have clean litter, and they don't drag it out with them. I'm 75 years old, and it was becoming difficult to empty the roll over litterboxes we were using, and they were not near as clean or effective.

Q: What is the return policy if your cats end up not using it? whisker has a 90 day return even if used.

A: I bought this on June 17th,and did not receive it until June 20th. my best buy account states that this is returnable until September 15th. So around the same as whisker on the return date range. honestly Im sure best buy will take it back even if its used as long as its cleaned. They either sell it back to whisker, who just santizes it and resells it, or best buy will sell it as an open box. Also best buy's protection plan is for 4 years for 100 while I believe whiskers is for 3 years for $100. You didn't ask for that but that was one of the factors that made me decide to order from best buy.

Q: Can you use crystal litter in this? Also I have a 24lb maincoon mix would he fit? He’s quite large.

Q: What kind of bag can be used in the LR4? Can you just use regular bags or there special bags that need to go inside?

A: I use standard tall kitchen trash bags with no problem.

Q: Can a 13 week old kitten use the litter robot? Would they have a problem getting in/out?

Q: Does one need a Wi-Fi connection in order to use this? Or, is that just an option?

A: Short answer is No , you dont need Wifi . Wifi is recommended as it allows you to interact with the LR giving you notifications when away from your home of when your cat goes in , cleaning in progress or if it was interrupted , waste basket full etc . Also lets you control the LR remotely . Otherwise. you can use Bluetooth when you are near the LR to set up and enable functionalty
